Today's my birthday.

Here's some bots, they all suck and I figured that out thanks to paranoiaAI.
(Image removed from quote.)
I don't even.

(Image removed from quote.)
Very wedgy wedge.
Also I really miss the hypnoteeth. They were in almost all my bots and I can't really do anything properly without them because I'm bad at this and hypnoteeth make everything great.

I feel like I'm building crappy dsl2 stuff in dsl3.
Oh well I should make the transition soon enough.

(Image removed from quote.)
Wow such mundane doge.
It's underweaponed, but that wedge is so wedgy.

(Image removed from quote.)
I actually drew this one first, it came out exactly like the drawing.
Too bad the drivetrain's sub par, but hey! It's got the dowsy eyes, at least.
That's all I was going for, really.

As always, skins are wip untill I do a big post with hundreds of skins and the second coming of napoleon bonaparte.

Alright, considering how I didn't have time to elaborate on the advice as I ran out of batteries on my iPad, allow me to give a more in-depth analysis. First of all, considering how all weapons now have normals now, beater bars are now redundant as they do have normals and may as well be replaced with spikes or teeth. On the subject of the first bot, do not bother with lexan plating at the back of the bot and the spare weight could be invested in HS protection on the sides or more spikes.

With the poker and Mundane Doge (wow such advice, much post) you may want to reconsider your weapon choice and maybe use teeth or spikes instead as mentioned beforehand, and you could use Morse-Code Breaker wedges to make your bots even wedgier. (MCB Wedge documentation available here : wow such citation)

Finally, for the Platypus, you may want to use something different aside from the shell plate. I'm not too sure how well those preform on a flipper, though you might want to use a bunch of flippermakers or extenders to construct a wedge.

It's a shame I didn't get time to build my HW SnS I've been making plans for, but nonetheless good luck to all.

You might want to reconsider your design of the poker, since all weapons in DSL3 have normals. You could also be cheap with the chassis-wedge bots by using MCBs. (iOS battery power is pathetic pls fix apple ceo)

Pooped out a couple more generic designs.

A middleweight spinner/rammer thing, Teknosaur.

And a heavyweight flipper, Raging Bull.

Teknosaur looks great, I'm assuming it's your poker-night entry?

Can we get a shot of the insides? I want to see how you've done the walker system, I have no knowledge on them.
Sure.

(Image removed from quote.)

Walkers need to use a strong enough motor if want it to move, so servos would be a good choice for this kind of concept. (At least from my experience anyway.)

From my testing of a flamethrower turret, it seems servos don't need batteries to operate. I might want to look into it further, though it seems to be the case for me.
Yes they do. Servos are regular motors but with higher torque and less speed.

I don't know how Charlie Don't Surf doesn't use it's single ant battery to power it's servos, could just be something restricted to DSL3.

The hs could do with a little more disc support.

Boom.

Looks a lot like one of Marty's bots, but it's good nonetheless.

398.8kg, 3mm Titanium, 3 Ants & E-tek Drive motors.

For a second, I thought it was actually weaponless, though then I saw those Steel Shark teeth.

0.4.0 brings about several remakes of old bots in the pack, and Team Moustache by Playzooki. The project is still going, don't worry!

Hey everyone! After a long hiatus from the forums, I'm back with a robot that is supposed to be IRL realistic. (for a tournament) I realize that there are no weapon supports and for the tournament I'm entering, I cannot use the titanium sheet. Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.

Looks incredibly similar to the BB7 HW winner. Anyways, a Multi-extender with a flipper maker would be more efficient. On the rule-of-cool aspect of things, the Morse-Code Breaker wedges ruin the look of the bot to be honest.

Ok so no ballasts, I was using them to keep the front of the bot down and the fire axes on the wheels were mainly decoration and that I had weight left, and they fit the theme. So by thicker armor you mean 3mm Tit?

I think you should read Naryar's efficiency tutorial that is stickied in the showcase section.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls, GTM members of all ages. Today, Kid Krusher brings to you his showcase of bots so bad they're good and one-liners so bad you'll feel like you're watching a John Cena promo. So without further a do(I bet you wish there was more hesitation, but there's not.) This robot is as dangerous as Amanda Bynes in a moving vehicle, and twice as hot. Its Firestorm! (Image removed from quote.)
Armed with a Fireman's Axe mounted on a 90 degree gear powered motor and covered in 1mm thick Titanium, this bot is sure to leave its opponents "Hot under the collar" Stay tuned for more bots.

EDIT: Why does the splash look SO bad? Oh yeah, because I made it.

Naryar shall smite thee for the use of ballasts.

I already downloaded it for tomorrow (or technically later today), but it's almost 2am and I'm tired.

The Shameless Plug is shameless.

Another Paranoia bot: (Image removed from quote.)
It's called "Don't Tread On Me". I'm probably going to give it a camoflage skin and put "KEEP OFF THE GRASS" somewhere.
It's really powerful, but prone to Pushkin other hammers/axes.
Weight is 398.3, I think tit5 but it could be tit3.
HW may be uploaded tomorrow, depends if I'm happy with how the frame turns out.

It looks alright, though as I've said you may want to test it against the newly released 0.3.0 bots such as the new Pushkin and the community bots.
