Why does IF get an unfair advantage over stock? It maybe has the same weight limit as ST MW, but also has lighter parts. Just why?
how is it an unfair advantage
You can fit more parts in the weight limit. Not like that matters because all that matters is your building skill.

Can somebody give me the specifications for the last BOTM so I can add it to the ra2 wiki page?
Since Meganerdbomb is slacking, I'mma take the initiative.
Mod: Stock/DSL 2.2/Ironforge Theme: Robots based on common household objects, in case you have no idea what I'm talking about, just look at this. Weightclass: HW
Other stuff: No re-entries from past BOTMs. RA2CF is allowed. OBJRA2 isn't allowed. DSC's IRL pack is allowed for DSL 2.2. You must put the weight on the splash with one image of the insides. Images must be no wider than 700px and no taller than 800px. Don't make your file size huge. Entries must be PM'd to me by July 31th.
We will return to your regularly scheduled programming next month.

Stop putting your bot pics in spoiler tags please. Also p cool bot for a newbie, agreed with Ava.
no i won't because if i do it will take 10 years for the page to load for some people which is why i put the images in spoiler tags in the first place
Is that even true? And it's a small price to pay if not because dear god it's annoying to click the spoilers. And again, please type properly. I know it's the internet and not school but seriously just type properly. Capitalisation, punctuation etc. go a long way.

Why?
You're not a very good member (and that's the nicest way I can put it). Apologies but it's true. You hardly know anything of the rules of GTM, ignore direct statements from knowledgable members about how tournaments work (like trying to enter The Cybernetic Colliseum despite the signups being closed, almost driving Badnik to insanity) and are also just plain terrible at the game. Like, worse-than-COID bad.

I estimate that it would take about 24 man-hours to get my stuff into a distributable state, but there haven't been any takers.
By that, do you mean sorti g through the components and rendering it in a state of a download with AI, Components and Robot Designs?

Speaking of challenging: should we actually do something with the title systems and try to make it worth something? Currently you can challenge for it with no requirements or rules.
What I suggest is making it so that to be in the running for a title shot, you have to win challenge matches to gain points in a league: every 2 months, the top 2 players are given title shots. You could also have users submit robots at the start of the season, and then any competitors who can't find challenge matches of their own are pitted against eachother using said submitted robots at the end of the week/whenever necessary to ensure people all have a similar amount of challenge matches played.
That said, I will take on any DSL HW title challenges given while I wait for something like this system to be considered.

Please can anyone send me link to Resetti's Replicas AI Pack
I don't think so: nobody seems to have it anymore. Also, friendly heads up that posting in a topic older than at least 180 days is called Bumping, and is only allowed if you have something to contribute to the discussion.

yes, i already knew this but you try to make a proper walker that works properly...out of 10 walking/shuffling machines i've built on all the ra games this is the only one that i've ever had any success with, blame the devs of ra2 for not considering putting proper walking components in. A good example being anarchy from series 6 of robot wars i wanted to make a walker like that but its basically impossible due to the fact there is no component that will keep a "leg" facing downwards while having a flywheel rotating the leg round to move it forwards, i tried making another bot earlier called rhino that was going to be like brute but a proper walker but just like all my other attempts i could not for the life of me get it to work, if you know any way of making an anarchy style walker i'd really like to know ho tf to do it. oh and not getting a good enough weight bonus for this is hardly fair as any kind of bot that doesn't use wheels in ra2 suffers from post traumatic grip disorder as in it slides all over the place and barely has any grip and im pretty sure the only reason i can push people around with it is because my wedge takes their front wheels off the floor.
Alright. First things first, please capitalise, punctuate and organise your posts because this was pretty hard to read. Secondly, there really isn't anything that can be done to replicate a Anarchy system, because if i remember correctly the leg is attached at the top to a spinning disc on a axle, and is also connected with another axle to a middle wheel which is larger. This level of interconnecting is totally impossible within RA2. Thirdly, the problem with allowing shuffler weight bonuses is that people would make sh**ty shuffler designs that basically just do what you do with as little weight as possible, allowing the rest of the weight to be spent on adding even more weapons. Sure, they lose ground clearance and pushing power but the ability to add more weapons is a very powerful thing, something that can win a match. Basically, shufflers don't really work too well unless you just do a non-wheel part replacement for wheels, and then its up to the host if they allow that or not and if you get a weight bonus or not. Lots of variables that vary from host to host. Just switch to regular wheels, honestly. As for your robot: Firstly, this robot is actually pretty good for a new guy. Well done, you've learnt well. A couple of things, however: That flipper would look better if it had wedge corners (the triangular things that go on armor plates). Have a look and see if there are any more efficient armor choices. Use different motors, because your current drive motors may not be enough: I'd recommend some NPCs or even NPC fasts. Switch to regular wheels: Hypno wheels are a good bet iirc.

MR Speed Squared, the Series 9 version (Image removed from quote.)
Man you create the best replicas that I have ever seen. I wish you could create a folder for all the replicas you've created trust me, everyone would download them and would want you to create more
Problem is that Sonny's ra2 install is filled with custom components and reskins used to make the replicas accurate: this makes packaging them up a absolute nightmare.

(Image removed from quote.) ^ anarchy, notice how fluent and stable it is for a walker which is why i would like a walking mechanism similar to it
IIRC under modern rules Anarchy is a shuffler too.
Yup. These days walkers need to be able to move in more than one degree of freedom, so as anarchy's legs are straight and operate via rotation, these days they are a shuffler.

I'll call myself a bit surprised at how well cling did. Course, there's nothing one can do about the AI. Anyway, against RIOT, I'll probably lose my sawblade, then get cut down by the metagame.
Cling's pretty bloody good tbh. RIOT only has plastic 1 iirc which means a win is still possible. So, question: I know you wanted all configure sent within that ten day window but if we give you advance notice before you record the next matches for our robots, would you allow configs to be changed? This would allow us to account for seeing how robots actually perform compared to our predictions from the splash, in particular Cling has really surprised me and I might need to make alterations to my confit choice. It's all your choice of course but in theory it wouldn't hurt the running of the tournament as long as you only allow changes if you receive them well before matches are recorded and do not actively ask swiss-army users if we would want to switch?

While that is a fantastic skin, IMO it would look better as an extenderbot.
I'll eat a hat if somebody can actually make a good-looking, accurate MRSS S9 replica as a extenderbot.
