I was wondering how long it would take before this came up ;P The subject of Diotoir's flammability has been very much thought over in my mind. Thinking about all options, I've come to the conclusion that for the time being.... it's not possible (or won't look effective). Here's my train of thought:

1) Flamethrowers - could maybe work - however the problem lies with the AI'ing of it. Unless a custom .py can be created that tells the flamethrowers to activate once the robot itself comes in contact with fire, it won't work that well. Plausable.

2) Flaming motors - A few streaks of flame? Really? Plus Diotoir only got enflamed once it came in contact with fire - if the robot keeps getting hit it will catch alight. Not realistic enough. Busted.

3) Onto the matter of fire in the game itself - I don't want to use something like flamethrowers or something. Some streaks of fire coming out the robot will look terrible. What really needs to happen is a mass of fire like the Inferno hazard in the Black Hole Space Arena to erupt from the robot. Oh, and also for the fire to slowly damage the robot the longer it goes on. Then there's also the matter of co2, Refbot, ect., which it just un-RA2 territory.

So the whole Diotoir flame thing, unfortunately, is Busted.

As for Typhoon, it's already in :P (Click left his one in in the DSL 3.0 Beta)

Tried looking through the rules to see if it was mentioned but couldn't see anything, but still sorry if it's a bit of a dumb question, but are re-skinned components allowed? :3

This actually sounds quite interesting! If I can find time to build an entry then I'll enter :)

Also, (Might this be off topic) Will you be doing another Wild Robots? Wild Robots Returns Returns?

And another question- What will be the ratio of Replicas to EOD/AOD bots

1) Maybe. Haven't thought about it.

2) I was originally thinking of having some of the fictional robots in it as I thought I wouldn't be able to make this many replicas due to my lack of modding skills. However, as luck would have it I exceeded my own expectations and so I can now focus on an AI pack that is all replicas (The final product will need to be 45 replicas or more in total. The current total is about 24 :P)

As for the minor subject of 'Under Development', here's the list of replicas I'd still like to include:
-Cassius 2 (I know that if I don't I'll have a fan-boy uprising on my hands so better play it safe :P)
-Mortis
-13 Black
-101
-Fluffy
-Gravity
-Storm 2 (Haven't gotten round to it yet :P)
- M2
- Roadblock

I'm also planning on including maybe just Shunt, Matilda and Sgt. Bash, as I think they'd go quite nicely with a couple other arena's that I'm planning...

2) Maybe, no promises though
3) Probably not
4) You'll see
5) wut?

Major Tom... meh... maybe

Dolls - I kinda like that idea! Maybe having like teddy bears and stuff that break off in a couple of hits scatter across the arena floor could be quite fun :P Will consider that one...

As for house robots, if I don't get round to doing them in this version, then the next edition will do :) (Even if I do do them in this edition, it will most likely be the original 5 - the others where either c*** (e.g. RefBot and Cassius Chrome) or will be PITA's to do in RA2 (e.g. Mr Psycho)

Fair enough -ramped the retract power up a tad so that it retracts slowly.

Now that we have the eye from Diotoir, are there any other decorative items you guys would like to see in RA2?

New replica:

Eye's have 1 hitpoint, and the lifter once fired won't go back down unless it's moved down with force (it won't go back down on it's own, a bit like a spring loaded system almost)

For teams like that, I'm just gonna have the, both fight to the death and whoever wins gets the 3rd spot  :trollface

The flippers appear to be owning because:-
a) it's the UK - we specialise in flippers. Therefore our flippers own
b) They make for better action shots  :trollface

As for the teams, I'm trying to think about things from a tournament point of view. I'd like each time to have 1 robot from the RW games in the 3rd spots. So for example, the 1st team to have Chaos 2, the 2nd to have Hypno-Disc, the 3rd to have Razer, ect., rather than putting all of them together in one team. I have a few team combo's sketched out already, and once I have the nessecary amount of robots, then I can work on organising all of them into their proper teams :)

Just to let you's know where I'm at :P I meshed the weapon motor and the blade (I've gone for the 3 pronged blade :P) and am at the stage of converting the weapon motor :P I should also add the main body is finished :P

I can't show you anything at the moment though as I'm currently on my dads laptop as mine is at the reception hall for tommorow for my parent's Vow Renewal :P I'm hoping to show you all the finished Manta rep by the end of wednesday however :) Just to update you all on what's going on xD

What disc of Manta's would you guys prefer/find most beneficial? The cross'n'hoop one or the tri-tip one?

Not as of yet, however just from playing against the AI bots I think Panic Attack might be in need of another revamp, so they may well do so in the end :P

And same! It was a toss-up between Manta, Tricerabot 3.0 and General Chompsalot, however I figured we needed another vertical spinner :P
