@ Daemon: I simply need some time to put the vids up there, it may take me a couple of weeks granted that I also have college life. I have been thinking about it though, EDIT: I also cleaned up the page for easier navigation, Took out the empty tournament stuff, its not needed

Do you mean my mod? Robot Arena 2 Gigafrost Edition? If so then make sure you copy the extracted version to a clean copy of Robot Arena 2 first, then you copy the files from the Awesome Patch onto that.

Update hehe.
While waiting for my videos to upload... I've made some sound files! A bit random I must admit but I was playing around with audacity and made some robotic voices. I may possibly use them for something in the future, but feel free to play with em. Here are some rough announcer clips. Clickbeetle.wav: Robot Announcer voice type goal: High-tech (Think Transformer) I actually liked how this one turned out, being that clickbeetle is a three syllable name, I would think that the robot conversion would have a tad bit of trouble differentiating em so it won't just sound like noise. ACAMS.wav (a little loud so turn down your volume a bit for this one): Robot Announcer voice type goal: Judgement (Think a cyborg) Another one that went out well, pronounciation may be a little off, so bear with me. Madiaba.wav: Robot Announcer voice type goal: Also High-Tech, but a little different (Need I say more?) Another one that came out seemingly well IMO. Also apologies for incorrect pronunciation. And last but not least, what's a robot voice good for other than for.... Beatboxing for the RIMP tournament! RIMP.wav: The sounds you hear after you hear it say "rust in more peices" is supposed to be saying "RIMP, -Beatbox sound- RIMP RIMP RIMP, -Beatbox sound- ,RIMP... RIMP, ah you get the picture. This too may be a little loud. 26

Spark Plug vs Kulpa video is up! Check it out on the first page (If you don't see any video, give it some time as I'm like 99% done with putting it on the server).

Click: Amazing work once again click! As always I appreciate your efforts -single tear-. Since I'm almost done with Tournament 1, I will continue using the old one, however on the FINALS of Tournament one, I'll make the 'transition'. And like you said, no excuses now XP.
The match between Sparkplug vs Kulpa is actually done. I just have to put it together. I was able to get my USB cable back for the external drive that has the matches on it (little brother needed it for his nintendo wii), so I will 28

Do we need to? Shouldn't we care about our economy? Screw you kindly. 30

Modifications / Re: An RPM-monitoring AI« on: October 09, 2010, 02:20:26 PM »
I figured so. That also reminds me, has anyone come up with an "Avoid" tactic? Like:
When a bot gets a high number of points, or when a bot has no more weapons, switch from attack to defence. Dodging engagement with the opponent. I think it would be kind of cool to see. But it has to be possible since there is already an Engage tactic. Theoretically speaking. 35

I too agree, this code is pretty revolutionary. I can see this being used in the following ways:
I think, if possible, that this could be applied to other bot types as well.
Though I do believe that the later might not be possible atm. 36

Stock Showcases / Re: VERTIGO'S STOCK SHOWCASE!« on: October 06, 2010, 05:25:44 PM »
You could try to put those wedges on snappers and then the weapons on DDTS. Snappers are just lovely. All that weight for the frontal armor could also be replaced so you can juggle around with that extra weight. Hmm have you tried thinking about replacing those with those 10kg Blades? Or maybe one plow that spans the front? Not exactly necessary, just some other things to think about in case you want some extra weight. Trying to get those brain juices flowing.

Hnrugh? Hold on.. We could sign up for multiple things in this competition? Or just one? I also don't want to occupy some elses chance in entering, but I am willing to enter another bot if need be.
Edit: Pretty excited to see the splash by the way!

Off-Topic Discussion / Re: GTM land!« on: October 06, 2010, 05:09:33 PM »Not Macs, Mac OS X. The Windows audio stack is absolutely awful. It's laggy, complicated, and doesn't offer a lot of customization, and the only way to fix it is use ASIO everywhere, but not every piece of software / sound card supports it. Generally, if you don't have an ultra-expensive, 24bit sound card with specialized drivers, you're in deep sh** if you want to use your computer as a part of your recording studio. Not in everyone's case. Realtek is pretty good as far as audio/drivers go and its usually built into newer PC models. That being said, PCs have always been pretty weak in the multimedia department. But if your looking to play a good ol' game of Wow, Crysis, Call of duty, Halo, etc. Macs are rarely mentioned (mind you sound cards are also big with these games). Not that one is better than the other, High-end PCs offer things like renderablility and graphical simulation, High-end Macs provide things like design and multimedia. Of course there will be crossover cases and that's what makes computers so wonderfully competitive. Buuutt back on topic. 40
