ive got a couple of failed experiments in my showcase, maybe a half dozen more i havent posted. i might hop on my other computer and contribute later
Alright, I think we should post in any failed experiments to here so we can check it out, and them give the name. Otherwise, we'll just be trying to work out what he bot's called and end up giving it a name, ourselves. If anyone here knows how to AI a bot, that'd be lovely. Also be good to have someone record them battling to see which will be the best worst robot every built. I can already tell you that my Inferno and Doberbot will die. I'll post them in later. I've got a feeling that this isn't a usual showcase, but it's something different. It'd be great to have them all fight each other. Also, if you have machines that are really slow, but are good, then they are allowed. If the machine's weapon is very powerful, but it's really slow, that machine can enter. I think this will be very fun. P.S: Anyone know how to change the name of this forum?

I think you'll find one of my bots already in a showcase, but I could show another. Also, check out the "Pay Tribute to Replica's" showcase. That has some of mine. Tilly Xp, Mortis, and Panic. Even my Beast of Bodmin. Although, it did flip Roadblock from Wham's beta release. Other than that, they can't flip.
Actually, building bad bots doesn't seem like a bad idea. Try and make them stand a fighting chance, though.

i fail to see the point of this thread
Say that you build a robot that seems to work while testing it. You're happy. Then you have it battle another bot (AI or multiplayer) and there is something wrong with the weapon. It doesn't properly work as you thought. I always have that problem when building bots with flippers. They work by themselves, but when fighting, there are rubbish. Quite disappointing. Even the srimech doesn't work. That's the point of this thread.

Alright, who's got a bot they aren't happy with but can live with the flaw to a certain degree?

Of course I bloody haven't. I've only posted 37 times. 38 if you count this one. And I WANT this mod to come out. I'm actually waiting for it, patiently. I don't even know how to do what HB is doing. I just build a robot, make a team, fight, then that's that. I don't decide to go making mods for games when I can't even make a game. I'm new here. I want this mod so badly, but I'll wait for it. I'm just a gamer, not a game developer.
I request that we forget the above happened and do NOT reply to any of it. Anything further and I'll apply punishments to everyone involved.
Last warning before punishments are dealt. I'm being lenient because you're new...
Sorry, relax. Forget about it. That message you sent helped and I'm just going to wait and that'll be it.

If you have proof, then I'll believe you. I don't see much evidence. But I'm not saying they're being lazy like Jonzu95 (Which to me is a load of crap because he ain't lazy, no matter how many times you people say he is ), but there could be a different reason for it. I can't think of any, but it's sounds plausible to me.
Do you even understand the level of commitment one has to have to undertake a project like this? Have you undertaken a project which requires a level of commitment similar to the one in this project? Do you understand how hard the people have to work to provide a fun, enjoyable game like the one this is eventually going to be and how carefully they have to restructure their life in order to make the mod? No? Please, do us all a favor and stop replying to this thread unless you understand what you're saying.

I'd never be able to make an Axe-Awe like that. Good job, man.

If you manage to make Tentomushi, I'm probably going to have a heart attack with that accomplishment.

3 things. 1)This site has a computer forum? Da f***? 2)Alright, alright. 3) It's not my fault someone was talking about some computer curse. ..................... actually, I'm not sure if the GTM curse is a) real, b)about any electrical appliance connected to the internet or just computers in general.

The GTM curse strikes again.
So there's a curse?
If you decide to make a project or host a tournament it will probably be at the expense of your computer.
I had the curse as well. Computer died mid-tournament, and if I remember correctly I also got pneumonia during a tournament, keeping me on the couch for a couple weeks. The curse is real.
Uh,.................Ok? I've never had that happen to me. The only thing my computer does is it turns itself off while I'm playing a game or watching a movie, and then a few minutes later, it comes back on. It even turns off half-way through the boot up. BASTARD. That's what my computer is at times.

A curse seems the best explanation actually! Seems to be common... Unless everyone else are compulsive liars.
Trying to solve the mystery of life in wires to get the damn computer working again last night. It worked afterwards for me to back up what stuff I didn't. I just hope it continues to work!
(Image removed from quote.)
Well, at least you managed to fix your computer. Hope that doesn't happen again.

I think that's got to be one of my favourite rep's that you've made on this forum. Wicked job, dude.

Do any of you think you could help me make AI teams and opponents? It'd be easier for my to battle my own bots via AI than just me playing with both hands on the keyboard, controlling a different robot.

Sucks about the computer, bro , but at least everything was backed up. I hope you manage to get back into creating these rep's, dude.

Hey, does anyone know how to get Wham's AI pack? Lemonism used it for his DSL showcase, but I have no idea where to look. Can anyone help me out?

Use whichever link, doesn't matter. Just remember to untick the box before you download.
Cheers, man. It'll be good to see what it comes with. NO SPOILERS! Tried the mod, loved it. I'll try and make a rep through it, too.

This is going to be great! I think I'll just sit back, play some of my own Robot Arena 2 (maybe even some Robot Wars), and wait until this mod comes out. I'm so stoked.

The axe's motor is from Ironforge. Was it? S***. You're in luck, as the AI code for the flipper & 180 degree axe was created just a few days ago. Good first replica.
Wow, this game just continues to blow my mind. That's a great replica of Iron Awe 2.1, Juza1. Great work.
