Pfft, Metal Virus...what a typical jdickwad when it comes to RW. That would be great if that insult was an actual word. I'm canadian... so technically i'm unbiased. Battlebots had "better" robots than robot wars did. Robot wars had more "creative" robots than battlebots did. Some Robot Wars bots competed in BattleBots, and they didn't as good as they did in Robot Wars. Hypnodisk was one of the robots that caused the most damage in RW, but that was only in the first few seasons when all the other robots had poor protection. In comparison to BB, the robots in robot wars were far less destructive. I also hated the stupid House robots, that was a terrible idea. I prefered the BB arena, although it did make it more difficult for flippers. I feel like making an arena that looks like a cross between the RW arena and the BB arena, I prefered BB because I prefer destruction and action with commentators that didn't annoy the crap out of you.

I started with Anim8or, it's free and pretty easy. Now I have Rhino 3D.

Even those are BUILT out of stock parts they still aren't PURE stock robots. Explain what makes them not pure stock. Nothing is used besides what came with the game...

Downloading starcore AI 3.0 would be so much easier and the bots would be so much better.

Still seems boring. The whole damage thing seems toned down to me because they are so small and all they do is zip arround occasionaly nocking off losely attached components and armour.

Antweights just seem so boring to me. But t's always good to see some sort of robotic combat.

I have no messengers at all. I hope that wasn't sarcasm, because I don't see a list of messengers. Either way, I have added all of you to MSN.

Ham, mean2u and deadkenndy's do any of you have MSN? I'd really like to play some stock RA2. I can't get DSL intalled right now, and stock has less lag, I just want to get back into the game.

Just for referance, REDRUM is a real robot. Some of it's matches can be found here.

Wait... did you post a 3D concept of your robot on ARC at one point in time? It seems oddly familiar.

I think that pretty well covers how I feel.

It all looks so good. If you need any help with component design, arena design, etc. that can be done in Rhino, my offer to help out (possibly become a small part of the team) still stands. I also have about 2 years of experience with photoshop, so I could help out with that too.

I might be able to host, i'm not sure though. It might take some trial and error.

I suppose this ins't still a work in progress. I would be able to submit quite a few bots considering I just got Rhino 3D 3.0. Would rhino work for creation components, etc. for DSL? If so I wouldn't mine helping out over the summer.

I'm pretty sure all suggestions are taken into consideration, I wouldn't mind seeing this part in DSL. Different sizes would make this useful for all weight classes.
I see you are from Finland, it's surprising that your english is so good. I took a look at your website, there's some nice bots you got there.

very nice replica. I do agree however, the top lexan plates should be at a lower angle. Great work though.
