Haha it's all good, there's at least 2 of us coming up (plazmic inferno/Tweedy is actually staying at my home in Wilts the night before, super long travel for him from Kent), potentially 3 if my 'teammate'/'stepdad' comes, so I'll be driving :')
Yeah not really looking forward to the commute up, can't wait for the event though.

Started gathering the parts for a couple of new things yesterday, 25mm silver steel for a feather and 10mm for a beetle, both acquired through work which was handy.
Terminus is there for scale.

Nocturne also went 2-2, but its two wins were forfeits. It lost to Gemini and Colsonbot (!!!), of which the two fights were about eight hours apart. I've decided to retire this bot in favor of better things to come.
The curse is real

Realistically there are 3 bots that can reliably beat Tombstone IMO, those being Bronco, Stinger, and Bite force. because of that Tombstone has an uphill struggle after it's inevitable win against radioactive as it is going to face at least one of those two. I'm also predicting that Bite Force will win over Hypershock and beat Icewave by way of either tipping it over or controlling the whole fight like we saw vs warhead. So in my eyes Tombstone is going to have a hard time winning, even more so if it comes up against bite force as it has one advantage that the others don't, the way it deals with spinners doesn't affect it's main weapon as the wedge is on the back.

Since Burgess I've not really done much bot wise apart from swapping Ash to larger wheels and a lemonrx which has fixed the issues it was having at burgess. I have however got this ready to be made once I start my new job:

The Weapon there is just for visual purposes, this is the actual weapon:

Going to be a 10mm thick disc with a 100mm effective outer diameter

I'd love to see a light weapon like that but with extra weight into just motors and batteries to spin it at some ludicrous speed. I would LOVE to see 10,000 RPM.
Higher rpm means less tooth engagement in most cases.

Anyone got an idea of what this is? I haven't seen it in any promos but it showed up briefly in a YT video that was put up about 20 minutes ago.

Okay, so some more new info.

Can any of the British roboteers confirm whether this is the new Team Big Brother robot or not?
(Image removed from quote.)

Also I finally know what that damn crate says. It was Sweet Revenge, and if it is what I think it is, it was a 4WD bar spinner.
That's one of the few things that I haven't seen, so I can neither confirm nor deny.

It seems part of Beta was lost in transit, according to Team Storm.

Beta is almost as cursed as Nocturne :V
We'll see how bad that curse is when I power it back up now I've dealt with it's rapidly expanding battery and explodey receiver.

This has been a hectic month for us. Busy schedules with exhibitions and err life, BB orientated everything and the shock of what could possibly be the new RA3 threatening to ruin our efforts on the Robot Wars Mod. But regardless we're still working and trying to find out the crack exactly.

And in the mean time I give you B... Guess :P

Will this version of Brutus blow a motor every match as well?

Thanks guys! I'll check Inventor out. Seems cool. (BTW, what did you guys make with CAD using Inventor. I'd like to see an example :D)
I generally use inventor for beetleweight design:

Good to see you on here Will, you should get a few pictures of Inertia b and the ants on here, it was a shame you didn't get Inertia b to burgess, it might have been one of the only bots to not break in some way.

Why would it be Tombstone instead of Last Rites?  This is heavyweights, isn't it?
No... oddly, it's every weight class, if I remember...
It's not every weight class, it was put like that for marketing, it's a slightly heavier version of regular heavies at 250lbs rather than 220.

So I've decided to mainly do top but i'm utter crap at last hitting for instance at 10mins i might have 30-40cs, whats the best way to improve that sh**
Practice in customs, then take it to normals once you get decent at it, I generally get 100 at about 12 minutes, try hitting that in customs then normals.

Burgess Hill event report:
I had both Beetle spinners ready for burgess, only for things to go wrong at the last possible second, Terminus and Ash both refused to run on orange receivers because of the becs I was using, Terminus blew a lipo somehow, Ash's wheels turned out to be just too small to be effective. Although with a large amount of help from Dave we managed to get Ash running using a receiver pack and a borrowed receiver from Headbanger, hence the tape lid for all of it's fights. Every bot had issues at some point apart from Headbanger and Limpet, RPM smoked it's brushless motor somehow and lost one H-bridge on one of the controllers removing the ability to reverse it's left motor, Snappy lost a couple of wire connections just before doing a final demo fight after a day of fighting ash and ramming things, Naff was taken out by ash after I righted it using the weapon on Rory's request.
In terms of Ash's effectiveness I think with a bit of tweaking it could be a competitive beetle, currently it needs bigger wheels, a new baseplate/lid, a few holes drilled into the bulkheads to allow wires to pass through, and a new wedge to replace the 4mm steel on it currently has. For a bot that barely worked though it did pretty well in it's fights against Mr Snappy:

The downfall of Ash in one of the fights was the small wheels causing it to get stuck on the lips between the arena floor tiles, the other time was the receiver pack running flat during the fight, which was a shame as Ash really got some nice hits then.
Managed to take some gouges out of the ali backplate and hdpe:

Also got a few shots of the GTM Beetles together in and out of the arena and all of the beetles that were there at the time in the arena:

Consider this a verbal warning, shrink your pictures
Fixed accordingly.
