Through some horribly inefficient extender work, I got a plough up there.  The red extender on the right is to protect the T and to eat up that extra 2kg I had

Not quite sure what you're going for here.
I think he's going for motor protection. If so, the best protection is to keep opponents as far away as possible rather than armour them. Also, it'd be a good idea to read through this before you try building something else. Many very useful tips are included on that site.

Robots look really good, but then again I haven't been around much to watch tournaments. I just lurk in the showcases. Also, I really didn't expect to get further than the first round. Lucky matchup, I guess. GGs all around guys, looking forwards to the rest of the tourney.

I'll come out of lurking for this. Should be a nice bit of nostalgia. Looking back at BTTB 2's draw, Gazea, Bubbleman, Ounce and Marty really got the tough end of the stick.

I didn't intend to make a dalek, but it just turned out that way, so whatever.
What was it intended to be if that's how it came out?
It was going to be something for botm, but it didn't go to plan. It looks like I won't be able to enter botm this month, unfortunately.
Should've made a christmas hat for it, boom, christmas dalek.

I want to make the skin for a component be recognizable to the game but I don't want it to show in the game anywhere else except the robot it was made for.
Not possible, as far as I'm aware, to only have a component show up only in a specific robot's bot lab. Best you can do is either hide it completely or cheatbot2 it.
