dont really like the wheelguards and the chassis is big enough to give it some sexy water skin instead of just painting it blue.
I admit, the wheel guards aren't exactly how I like them (Flood XL-C does have different wheel guards that explicitly hit just the wheels and nothing else), but I also wanted some side protection in case. As for the skin... I know how to skin to some degree, but I really don't want to have to go everything that I've gone through in order to make it look better (read: for some reason, my copy of DSL 2.2 doesn't allow for me to import or export paint designs, so I had to send the paint job over to 2.1, export the original, create the skin, send it back to 2.1 to import, and then put everything back together in 2.2 that wasn't originally in that).

Wait... WHAT IS THIS!? A 4.5 year gap between my last post here? Well, time to show you what I've created for DSL 2.2 (and, in turn, Sword of Glory/Robot Wars)!  This is Flood XL-H! (there is also a Flood XL-C variant for Robot Wars) Armor: Steel 3 Movement: 2x NPC w/ Hypno wheels Weapon: 6 Mag, with 37.5x250 DSL Bar and 2x70 kg DSL Hammers Wedge: 10x 40x70 Titanium Triangles with 5 Steel Wedge Pieces to make the wedge look more complete Side Protection: 2x 40x120 Steel Panels In short, it's still decently powerful but MUCH more IRL than any of my Flood variants before this. So... thoughts?

Love the upgraded Frog, and with Frog in the semi-finals of another certain tournament, I'd say that it's done fine in its career
The deadline thing was my fault. I'd seen you mention to someone else that the signups were closed, and the production done for the video, so I guessed there was no point in asking the same question.
But is Frog fighting in another tournament? Did someone else submit him? 
It's in Robot MPire, I would believe.

I mentioned this on the facebook post but there is no blur on the drum. Either the camera is really good or the drum has stopped spinning
Same goes for poisen arrows drum Be careful, then. There are other spoilers out there that spoil at least one of those fights (namely on a social media platform). Also, in non-spoiler news, there will be large swaths of the country that won't be able to see the episodes until much later thanks to pre-season football. The BattleBots Facebook page did mention them briefly, but took them down for unknown reasons. For example- where I am, the episodes won't air until 2:35 am Saturday because of the Cincinnati Bengals' final pre-season game. This means I either have to watch it on Hulu (provided it gets posted before 12:00 pm EDT tomorrow) or be essentially forced to wait until early Sunday evening to watch it on DVR because of work. The Quarter Finals, Semi Finals, Grand Final, and Rumble (Singular.) are getting mashed up into another double length episode.
Not again... I understand why they're doing this (the NFL season starts on the 8th of next month), but it feels like ABC is treating Battlebots like a red-headed stepchild when it comes to scheduling.

There's a repeat of Episode 5. Next week is an Episode 6 repeat.
In short, it's repeats so that those on the West Coast who missed out on those episodes thanks to the Republican and Democratic National Conventions can watch it. Well, that, and ABC fears that NBC will crush everything with the Olympics and as such didn't want to put new episodes against it.

Yeah, it's nice seeing this back. How well would those designs work in DSL 2.2? Think this was a SNS tournament because I can't imagine that this was the DSL main bot type before the update.

Nice work on developing a theme with these videos.
When does the fighting start? It was sometime in mid-April I thought... I hope Bombshell is ready in time! (And you don't draw Megabyte or Tombstone in round 1.)
If the info I've learned is right, fights should be starting on or around the 20th of April with other things happening between the 15th and 19th (as per Ray Billings; possibly a test fight or two to make sure the arena is in proper order and various behind the scenes work like safety testing the robots and other things). As for Bombshell, it's been crated up and getting shipped across country as of the 5th of April (as per their Facebook page), so the robot should be ready to go once the fighting begins. Mike, best of luck to you this season, and I hope that we get to see you on ABC more than once this year.

I've been having a lot of problems with RA2 in general since I installed Windows 10, I'm thinking it's probably a compatibility issue. :/
Shouldn't be- I recently upgraded to Windows 10 and, after the first no response, got everything working properly. Also, Scrap- tried that. My Orbit starts behind the robot, then orbits around the arena instead of staying behind the robot.

I do have one question- is there any way to turn the Orbit camera back to the way it is in vanilla RA2? Not being behind the robot at all times and having to constantly readjust it so I can see is my only real nitpick in this so far.

If what I've been reading is correct, then we may be getting more than 4 fights this week.
Considering that if they keep at their current pace, they would have to rush through the Round of 16, Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and Finals in 3 weeks. I'd venture a guess and say that you're more than likely right- we may just see six to all eight remaining opening round matches this week.

Round 1: Razorback vs. Icewave I don't think the fight should've been ended; Razorback seemed to be still mobile at the end. Round 1: Plan X vs. Wrecks If Wrecks had wheels, Plan X would've been a dead, dead robot. When Plan X fights a halfway-competent robot, it will be destroyed.
