Heh, I'm not back for good necessarily. I'm just back to see how everyone is doing though I'll try to get RA2 started on my new pc and get some new bots built.

Yep! That takes me back. Absolute Spike Defense is now a type of bot that is now banned in tournaments I hear. Is acams, bettle, sage, infinite, roboshark, etc. still around? I stopped playing RA2 after the forums were moved to gametechmods which was like 4-5 years ago? 26

Hey everyone, was sorting through my old computer before I toss it out and I found all my RA2 stuff again. It's nice to see that the community is still around. :D
How is everything nowadays, are people playing online nowadays? 27

Oh but it does,
It protects the motors from hammer bots and does damage to bots that end up on top, not to mention it works as a self-righting device by allowing the weapons to touch the ground when inverted. 29

The extender work is required to fit the plow.
I'm surprised nobody has noticed the out of place razor yet. 30

Stock Showcases / Suzaku's Bots« on: August 02, 2009, 03:57:22 AM »Quote from: Clickbeetle;56406 Aha! YOU'RE the guy who made the original Bumble Bee (Absolute Spike Defense). Sage made a bot with the same design called Bumble Bee, and caused quite a controversy when he entered it in my tournament. Wow, I'm surprised that my bot inspired sage to make a bot with a similar design. Bumblebee's chassis design is actually the exact same layout for one of my older absolute spike defense variations when I was trying to shrink the size by using regular z-tek motors, but I found that the loss in power wasn't worth it. Maybe I should enter Absolute Spike Defense in the next tournament you host. Yeah spiral star is my next best MW design so far, the spikes on the lower motor are actually touching the ground and they are angled so it tends to get under other spinners easilly. This is what it looks like and this is how I mounted the weapons and plow. ![]() I was hoping that Starcore would be interested in integrating some of my bots into his next AI pack but I don't visit the forums quite enough to make a big splash though I'm sure absolute spike defense would be a huge challenge to defeat. 32

I probably won't be back for long like always. Have fun building urchin, it will take a lot of dedication to stack those servos.

bout 2 hours, takes about half an hour to stack the first two, sometimes longer after that. I couldn't get the fifth one in no matter how hard I tried.

Stock Showcases / Suzaku's Bots« on: December 19, 2008, 07:11:22 PM »Quote from: Sage;24953 use one snapper and attach 2 motors that way. The original re-vised version was trying to use the other motor's attachment point for some kind of forward defense, however I ran out of weight allowance... Edit: Also I prefer the current motor set up over the two motors mounted to one snapper since the motor's weapons cover each other better and the lower weapons are just barely touching the ground, attaching a motor on the second mount point would make the motor touch the ground. 38
Stock Showcases / Suzaku's Bots« on: December 19, 2008, 06:57:15 PM »![]() Ultimate Aegis Revived, I replaced the servos with light snappers, the snappers are stacked. The spike on top works as a self-righting tool, an extra weapon for when the bot is flipping through the air, and it protects the connectors that rarely ever get destroyed. The spike on the rear is intended to provide defense for the rear wheels and pitch control since the previous versions had a tendency to flip backwards after a hard hit, however an interesting discovery for me was that the spike actually functions as a vibrating weapon like a sonic cutter due to the wobbling generated by the motor. It actually works since if an enemy is behind me and the motors are spinning at full speed the vibrations of the spike actually do constant damage. 39
