Thanks to whoever a long while back for reintroducing me to Keldian. I swear I've come across F.T.L during my power metal travels but didn't give it the chance it deserved.
Reminds me of the RJDio days, those were great times.

Pretty catchy song for a pretty underrated band.

I listened to the first minute and, as much as I was disliking the song beforehand, the drop made me want to rip off my ears. Oh dear.

*Enter Shikari*

You really should pay attention to scales, it's the most simple concept to grasp and any composer or producer should know at least something as basic as scales and counterpoint.

It sounds like something that would sound better on a SEGA Genesis. One thing that really grinds me, is when people make rock music without actual instruments and use soundfonts and patches that sound nothing like a real instrument. The drums are bland, the guitar is a poor attempt to replicate a real one, there aren't any real lead guitar parts except for the ear numbing power cord progressions. Also, your compositions aren't really appealing either, I can tell you used the pitch wheel on your controller multiple times to change between chords instead of actually playing a different cord with the keys, it's a pretty lame excuse for a chord change and it's just bad composition. At this point, it's also really atonal, it doesn't follow a particular scale that is underlined (which would have helped if you added actual leads). The parts where there are "lead guitars" are laughable at best, just repetitive single notes wavering back and forth from your original pitch when you feel like it, there is no consistency at all. So, Tonally and Instrumentally, this piece fails. The fact that you want money for this is a bigger disgrace to actual struggling musicians who take time to learn how to properly compose and write music.

Off-Topic Discussion / Re: Top 50 Albums List
« on: December 23, 2014, 10:58:54 AM »
i do struggle to see what's so diverse about a lot of these top 50s though. 40 disks all in the same genre with a few bleeps and bloops and that one rap cd you like does hardly a diverse collection make. some of yall are honest with it though. some people just have that one sound that gets their juices flowing, no disrespect there. honestly it's probably just the years of having my eyes roll back into my head when i hear someone say they like 'everything but rap and country' and their itunes reads like an alt rock station with a slight punk lean and a curveball or two

Okay, just to be clear about the diversity of the genre's
My Album list includes
Pop-Punk, Metalcore, Progressive Hardcore, Hardcore Punk, Melodic Hardcore, Classic Rock, Alternative Rock/Grunge, Funk/Rock, Ska, and more, none of which show a majority

I don't know if it's too late, but I think Mortis would make a great addition especially since it has been relevant to Robot Wars and BattleBots for many seasons.

Then how about a SHW BBEANS? That's never been done yet.

Banning all the parts you listed will do absolutely nothing to the meta.  It will still be HS against Popups.
This is the defining undertone I am getting too. I can see making a sportsman style DSL BBEANS where the robots have to obey IRL building rules, but with the current rules proposed, it's still going to generate a ton of Popups and Hs's. And if the point is to promote other robot styles with a less glitched-defined building style, it's hard for me to justify it especially with how weak many of the components can be in Stock. I don't know if I am interpreting this correctly, but if I am then I think that a strictly IRL style DSL BBEANS MW could be really fun to watch as opposed to setting restrictions to the previously unrestricted, stock.
