Off-Topic Discussion / Re: New NASCAR topic« on: May 19, 2013, 05:14:16 PM »That was the same for NASCAR 2005 but only it had templates GameKingI am confused here. You say it only had templates, but what else do you need? I mean you could grab yourself a template, paint.net, and a copy of AC3D and your ready to go. The customization for unlimited. There was no aspect of paint that couldn't be created. I don't remember the first game that had this feature, but after looking the last one was Nascar 09. Either way all this Nascar talk has got me feeling fast..... Like Rick Bobby. 25
Discussion / Re: I need help with a tournament i want to make« on: May 19, 2013, 05:05:34 PM »You are correct. I guess it must have slipped my mind because it requires so little knowledge to achieve. However this helps no one, your best bet is going to learn to AI. Wont take too long, and its just something that comes with the territory of hosting a tournament. If you want to host a tournament then you have to be able to AI.Or you could also request in the rules for said tourney that all the bots be AI'ed by the builders, just a thought would give you less to worry about.Even if you want all entrants to be AIed by their respective builders, all hosts must be able to perform rudimentary AIing or have someone else who can do it. 26

Wait is there a game that I missed here. The one I am referring to allowed you to use your computer to edit the paint of any car that you wanted. The customization was literally endless you could make the car look however you wanted.

I agree with sonny here. You need to get your ducks in a row before you go posting the tournament anywhere. I'm not trying to discourage you, just seems your tourney is rather unorganized at this point and there will be alot of work for others to do. You need to be self reliant before you start a tournament. You have to be able to carry most of the weight, because as a host that's just how the cards play out.

I haven't played a Nascar game in a while, not to say that I still don't like Nascar, but the last couple games haven't been very appealing to me. I believe the last one that I played that I really liked was Nascar 09 by EA sports. I loved being able to paint my cars in anyway I wanted.

Learning to AI is relatively easy and if you put the effort forth i'm sure that you can learn. Or you could also request in the rules for said tourney that all the bots be AI'ed by the builders, just a thought would give you less to worry about. On a different note do you have any idea of the format that you want this tournament to be?

I would consider running this, except that I know that at some point I will slip up and most likely ram another car. Rubbings racing, and I don't want all my time wasted just to get booted coming out of turn 3. Too many rules for a game that is at times unpredictable.
