Thurst4 does work 'at home'

once you had installed your smartzone, you should have something like that :

the difference between Drum and VertSpinner is that this last one allow Srimech and Fire Weapon.
As explain in the head of drum.py : it is made for invertible bot.

well named !

The Ballad of Brave Sir Robin
Bravely bold Sir Robin rode forth from Camelot.
He was not afraid to die, O brave Sir Robin!
He was not at all afraid to be killed in nasty ways,
Brave, brave, brave, brave Sir Robin!

He was not in the least bit scared to be mashed into a pulp,
Or to have his eyes gouged out, and his elbows broken;
To have his kneecaps split, and his body burned away;
And his limbs all hacked and mangled, brave Sir Robin!

His head smashed in and his heart cut out
And his liver removed and his bowels unplugged
And his nostrils raped and his bottom burned off
And his pen--
...
Brave Sir Robin ran away.
Bravely ran away, away!
When danger reared its ugly head,
He bravely turned his tail and fled.
Yes, brave Sir Robin turned about
And gallantly he chickened out.
Bravely taking to his feet
He beat a very brave retreat,
Bravest of the brave, Sir Robin!

How do i make NEW teams?

All is here :

...here is a new version of the AI chart

LRA2, you're well known over here, sometime for the worst, maybe, i hope, tomorrow for the best (you could if you want), waiting for that, i propose that you create your own AI team, show it in a movie, and once i wil have seen that you have enough knwoldege in this domain, i will send you some 'easy teams', but make your proof first.

if inverted your cube will have something very sexual in its design and painting
may be add a [-16] in your picture.

but if you're a young boy or girl, i apologie, i don't want to hurt you, this is  just a heavy joke for mid-adult/adult.

- User manual have been updated with a how to apply the eamMixer mechanism to any AI pack (illustration with StarCoreIII)

-Mixing  tool may be download alone (1,3 Mo) (no need to get the 140 stock teams), see user manual for usage.

All in First post.

-next post will show how to merge different AI pack

-last post will deliver source code.

i thank all that give feed back. And as there have been about 15 download yet (no much) i will be appy to have feed back from any of those who test it : is it a good idea ? too long to load ? have any fun ? have you tries to add you own teams, di you use manual mixing or random one ? etc
anyway, before the supernova implodes,  i follow my path as describe above

Pure softbody is a bit slow, and AFAIK there is no open-source engine made for game developement

what about Dark Basic ? it is quick to learn, fast feed back. it propose some collision management etc.

Contests / Vote for Robot Design Tournament #3
« on: September 29, 2009, 02:06:28 PM »
first of all i would like to compliment all the builder : All those bots are particulary well built !

#1 is the more funny
#2 and #5 play on the same ground, #2 seems better, but i have to admit that i have not yet  the skill to built #5
at first #3  is not so scary, but looking at its hunting table, it is really honest, nice reskinned plow !
#4 , (yes i can see it now) : very well balanced bot (that remember me a builder), best wedge around ( builder's signature?) , i think it should beat all of the other, even #2.

i will vote for #1 :    a little humor in this world of brutes
but my second vote goes for #4

Contests / Vote for BOTM Oct 2009
« on: September 29, 2009, 01:58:11 PM »
#1 is the most original, big work with many reskinned components
#2 the full body hammer is also somehow unseen
#3 there's a new boy around here
#4  there a younger boy here , #3 and #4  look like new RA2 builder's bot but BTW, #3 is better : all the weight is used (#4 you still have 100 kg free to use weapon !), #3 also had more weapons and a far better usage of free space, whoever you are, #3 you have learned , and #4 if your bots is not the expected killer, you've made a funny work with your paint job ; continue ( download the decals -to put in RA2/texture library/decals- in my signature)
#5 back to the 'old wolf' : classic bots, semi transparent chassis (very nice), a little lack of weapons ?
#6 very original chassis and very well usage of its space.

i hesitate between #2 and #6
my vote :# 2 for its full body hammer
