Real Robotics Discussion / Who's the Best« on: June 23, 2008, 10:03:10 PM »
Best flipper/lifter: Chaos 2. Why? Though I am not a fan of the bot, no flipper ever terrorized the ranks for as long as Chaos did. It totally transformed robot wars and robotic combat, popularizing the flipper. Even though T-minus, Gravity, Ziggy, Toro, Wheely Big Cheese, and other flipping powerhouses have terrorized robotic combat, none remained as competitive for as long as Chaos 2. Honourable mention: Biohazard
Best pusher: Sewer Snake. Why? The last robot you'd ever expect to be the #1 ranked heavyweight of all time proved that there is no substitute for ingenuity and amazing driving. It breaks nearly all building guidelines used in today's bots, having six big red exposed wheels, no destructive or powerful weaponry, or any flashy, showy bodywork. No, Sewer Snake is all push. A totally dominating force, not even Supermegabyte or Ziggy can stand in it's way. Honourable mention: Tornado 1989

Nice extenders sage :D
I prefer the 2nd ghost spike. I like it because you'll be able to see better when you are losing your weapons. 1990

Absolutely brilliant bot then.

Real Robotics Discussion / What would YOU build?« on: June 22, 2008, 02:05:13 PM »
I'd build a 6 wheel drive SHW lifter, quite similar to Sewer Snake, but with a bit more side armour, or a MW flipper, kind of like Ziggy.

No, it should be up around 780-790. You might have enough weight to get granny guards on to make it invertible, but you'd need 12 extra kg's that I'm not sure you have...
The thing just looks so damn cool! 1994

Why make so many damn maces? And I think blue extenders would be awesome. I was going to make them a while back, but I never got around to learning how to play with the .gmf files or whatever they are.

I would have liked to see you put nuke 2's setup in Nuclear's body. That would have saved you some more weight for more spikes and things. It's better though.

It's next Friday now. Is this thing going to start, or is it dead?

Just one question: why?
Oh and for the extenders, it would be sweet if you could make them blue and the notches silver. 1999

I'm assuming that there are two black batteries and two stacked snappers in there and it has DSA. It's a brilliant setup, but there is no way that that cam be invetible. One of the coolest looking bots none the less.

You definately have enough room for HPZ's. the wheels will just poke out a little. You will find that the increased speed also increases your damage. You also don't need the pink batteries at all. Just take those out. You also have around 50 KG's to play with. Use this weight to add more spikes somewhere or something.
