JUDGING
- Fights will be judged on significant attacks.
- Fights will be judged on a spectrum of 45 points.
- Fights will be judged by me, TBA and TBA
- All other judging will follow the RFL Judging guidelines.
Please clarify further. You say you will follow RFL guidelines yet use a completely different system. This got me last time as I thought damage would count. In reality everything hinges on "significant attacks" (.i.e favouring fast bots).

...I forgot to take that out. :P

It`s not my system. I just remember someone sugessted it. I think it was JB or someone
And then I added the bit on no splashes  :P

Are we allowed to pick our own pose?  When I'm showing off a cardboard replica I put an unnecessary amount of work into selecting the right angle and light.

Sure.

@freez Isn't it 13 slots though because you're also reserving one for yourself?

I don't enter my own tournaments.

You mentioned it. :P

why don`t we use the system (I can`t remember who it was) suggested?
everyone sends the bot in, freez makes a splash and a poll. the 16 bots with the most votes will be in. (14 in this case cause of Mike and me)

I'm in strong support of this.  Those 14 spaces are going to fill up FAST in a "first come first serve" setup, and this will also help us prevent arguments about "unrealistic"

...I actually support that idea, putting a poll up now.

Don't I get a reserve?

You only got it for S1. :P

Why would I give you infinite reserves?

Can you explain your judging system in more detail?  The link you provided uses a 33-point system whereas you use a 45-point.  I'm assuming that's because you'll be doing an equal-weight Damage, Aggression, and Strategy.  In which case, what is the criteria for strategy, it's not covered in the RFL guidelines?

What? 15+15+15=45...?

SKBT's is what I was going for.

I defined strategy as which robot controlled the flow of the fight more and which one's attacks were more affective.

Realistic Enough?

Needs a sponsor decal, but yes.

Are we allowed multibots?

Sorry if it's really obvious :P

No.

My bot I'm using Has 2 Flail 60kg Hammers and 3 30kg Hammers. I might get out lawed, though.

It actually looks OK, but I'd still have to take a closer look.

not quite shure if I want to enter. I have a title to loose :P
I can make use of the price? (aka place in the tourney even though the signups are filled?)

You and Mike have an automatic spot.

Find LuLzy rules from robot combat compitions.
Here's one I found on the BattleBots IQ rules:

''The bot can not have a paint job that have vulgar language, naked people, promote politics nor racisim.''

These aren't lulzy rules, they are perfectly fine. On the other hand:

"All pyrotechnics, explosives,   flames, firearms, corrosives, liquids, electronic devices - e.g. radio   jamming, heat-guns and Tesla coils - are banned."

Seriously; what's up with that?  Am I right guys?

Which was this in?

We do not want this to turn into a drama thread like that Threads Like This-I'm Leaving thread that TeamXtreemer made.

If you don't want it to be a drama thread, you don't have to post in it.

Freeziez, just shut up when it comes to Hard Bot. You do not make yourself look cool by replying like that to loads of his posts - especially since he had a point this time.

Well, I don't like how he's bitching about everybody in threads he clearly has no purpose in.
