DSL TC Showcases / Re: SM's DSL off-topic-case« on: November 23, 2011, 03:26:49 PM »Looking good. I trust a same-height 4-BSG setup is better than the Smashbox setup.- I can only assume so, each flipper gives the same leverage at the same time (more efficient energy transfer) and this setup allows for a nice neat chassis. - Hmmm... maybe. I'll give it a go. 1964

I enter slow and powerful, get stuck on spikes by fast and wedgey.
I enter fast and wedgey and get stuck on the spikes by slow and powerful or just plain fast. I enter a VS and get out weaponed. How to win...? 1970

Just because it doesn't break any spirit of the tourney doesn't stop it from being disallowed. But anyway, it's out now.

Bots that do well:
Drums due to weapon weight. Hammer HSs due to weapon weight. Some VSs due to weapon weight. IRL just boils down to 60% weapon weight IMO. with maybe 30% down to speed and pushing power and 10% down to shape and design. I think we should make up some more guidelines (not rules but generally accepted concepts) that hosts should try to stick to. In other news, my match vs NFX went exactly as expected. 1978

It would just flop around. The weapon has to be on the axel. But there is two axels on the motor so i used only one of themIn real life, how would an axle on a belt drive support a weapon? Now to face a magical floating axle.n00b question but what;s is a floating axel, the unused one on my weapon system, and if so how is that unrealistic? Sorry for that I did't realize when I was making it I guess. Once again I'm really sorry 1979
