DSL TC Showcases / Re: Jonzu95's DSL Showcase« on: April 08, 2010, 06:03:04 PM »Disk is a waste of weight. Agreed. I don't see the point of having all those panels on the disc like that. It makes it really heavy. Without a wedge the bot is very vulnerable. I would recommend ditching the panels, but then it would look like every other VS that seems to be manufactured for DSL these days. I think people are not commenting because the bot is bland. Nothing really special to be honest. You are a great builder, so this is not a reflection of your building skill. If you want a suggestion so you can keep working on this bot. I say ditch the panels and find a more effective way to cram moar light DSL teeth on that disk. 1964

Because he made the arcade his female dog? Well he's got other things going for him: -He can record and post online just fine. -Seems like a competent builder (which should reflect potential AI skills as well) -He does not seem to have advanced stages of ADD Go for it Yoda! Edit: 1965

Actually, I didn't mean to. Seems that I contributed to a massive thread hijack huh? Quick Yoda! Show us some more droids and get us back on track. :P 1966

I like the idea... Especially if somebody makes a LW that could actually make it all the way through the bracket to the SHW :3
Downfall would be the insane amount of videos to record. If you do it I recommend keeping the entry limit to 16 people maybe? That way you don't overwork yourself for a first tourney. It sounds like a great idea. If anything... I think you should make it optional for people to make the HW and SHW... that way the overconfident uber builders can tempt fate by only entering bots for the lower weight classes in hopes of winning. Or, here's a random thought... maybe the ability to build a SHW could be used as a handicap offset for the noob players? 1968

I can see how you might have mis-read that. I was defending Joe. Being from down under, he probably drinks Fosters. (and we all know that stuff will knock you down and take away a few memories quite easy.)

Loosely, we are only 12 bots away from a 64 bot bracket. Those of you vets that are interested, get your ass in gear. Otherwise, no whining later.
Oh, and the first person that suggests a 128 bot bracket gets perma-banned. 1974
