I've done some further testing. Both VS' are about the same overall, being able to beat the same AI bots (The old version seems to be able to hold out from being KO'ed as quickly as the new version, but the new version can dispose of enemies much faster)

SoH (Old) can hit harder and the motor is harder to hit and there's no risk of the motor tilting the bot forward, but turning is always a risk. SoH (New) has been able to maintain stability (Barely), Discs has more weaponry, all in all looks better, and the weapon itself was enough to send Saberteeth flying. The wheels do fly off faster and so do the weapon motors, but y'know, you guys are much more experienced in this than me, so I'll enter the new version into BB7.

But I noticed something odd.

When they get close to opponents, they keep going left right instead of charging right at the oposition.

Both old and new do it. And by doing so, they usually just fling their axles right into the weapons of the opponents

Did I AI them wrong or is it something else?

Armor strength/weight is shown on the chassis screen, and if anyone bother to look they will know that steel 5 is fine.

What.

I've been so ignorant all this time

Thanks For The Tips and such everybody, Ill keep on reading throughout the night, and I'll work on a revised model tomorrow.

Can you build IRL? If you can I suggest entering the upcoming Battlebots7.

Hmm, not bad, much better than my first few bots anyways.

But, onto the advice...

Don't use Long Batteries. They are horrid. Are you making this IRL or realistic? If you're looking to make this IRL, you're going to want to make a support for the perm.

You might want to add more beaters on the drums there.

And piglets, they're meant for weapons, not for drive. Use NPC's or perhaps Astroflights.

And last but not least, welcome to GTM!

I know, High score and perfect score :)
And nope, wasn't IFI. Do you honestly think Ride The Lightning (although it is totally kickass) could beat IFI?

It was Insanity wasn't it?

Reduced chassis size.

Y'know, seeing this new version, I just don't feel like it's an improvement.

But hey, we can't go by gut instinct can we?

So I decided to pit the old against the new.

Hmm...

Are those the best discs you could put on there?

If you're talking about a reinforced disc, no. Don't think I have enough weight leftover.

It still has a terrible habit of tipping forward whenever the discs hit opponents.

Duuuuuuuuuuude.

I do let's plays.

Sadly though, Bandicam's been acting up on me. Recently been able to fix it, not done with editing the actual video yet though.

Does it really need such big discs? You would be better off with 100 cm discs since you have more weight to invest into other things.

If so, the discs would be too high thus not allowing it to hit most opponents.

revolution 2 had 3 spinning blades on a heavyweight. 2 spinning bars/discs on a mw would not be unrealistic.

you need to stop it with these dumb flippermaker wedges though seriously

Well it's either the flippermakers or the bot tips over and flies around the arena.

I thought it was a Heavyweight.

I meant the original Hurricane. Not Hurricane 2.

The original Hurricane was entered into BB7 as a Middleweight, slow and unstable. duel discs, two Hypno's on each disc.

But with a Middleweight? I think you're pushing boundaries there.

The original Hurricane was a Middleweight.

And it also got third place.

I don't think the double discs are very irl.

MassimoV accepted the original Hurricane. So...

So, BB7 is in discussion. But I'm kinda questioning the IRL'ness of SoH.

It has polycarbonate axle supports, and also uses Poly Carbonate for the motor support.

I'm still wondering, is it enough? The thing I'm questioning the most is the motor support (Flippermaker) IRL enough? Or should I use Alu instead? And the reinforced axles, should I replace it with Alu or is it fine as it is?

Problem: The RA2 that contains all the tournament stuff crashes now. All I did this morning was fix Dusk 2 bindings, copy-pasted in the Diced bindings, and put Diced in the game. When I clicked on Diced it crashed, so I fixed Dusk 2 (Nose was messed up) and tried to fix the Diced bindings and now the game crashes as soon as I load it.

EDIT: There was a typo in Dusk 2's bindings. When I fixed it, nothing changed. The game is still crashing.

Does the game crash when you select the bots or when you open the game?

The thingy on the right is the CPU usage thing. Right now it's at 90 something percent.

The top of my desktop's cropped. Couldn't capture it.
