Stupid Question Time TM

Is the "hammer" hammer component such as the sledge hammer or is it a hammer type robot?

Ampflow doesn't rule anymore. Now it's brushless motors that rule. I dont know enough about them to tell you what's good though.

The PDX gearmotor is not great for drive. It's too slow. You want at least 500 RPM as a final motor output to get any decent speed with reasonably sized wheels.  By reasonably sized I mean 4"

No golf caddy motors and wheels. Cheapo 18v drill motors and caster wheels are better for FW's

Good luck finding a TI pipe. That could be used as a drum. I'd recommend a 1/8" wall steel pipe with S7 tool steel drum teeth.

20x20 is very very small for a FW to put it in prespetive my FW flipper is 30x50cm but if you can build a smaller bot go for it.

How much machining experience do you have? TI is very hard to work with and hard to weld.

Not bad. =) Have you considered adding a small skid on the back to keep the front end down when it accelerates?

Ooh, good idea.
Yep, very good idea, benefits Explosion greatly

Right now without armor, airtank and plumbing 19lbs.

For armor it's going to have a 1/16" thick titanium body shell and a 1/8" thick chromoly plow on the back.

Less than $100. There are also cupons in popular mechanics, popular science, and readers digest.

Noooo single lifting spike is my thing come up with your own weapon :P

You should defiantly try something like Sewer Snakes lifter since you've got the weight for it. That would be a cool sportsman weapon.

Sadly I don't have any of those tools of my own;the welding shop I was talking about is on the outskirts of town

Buy a cheap harbor freight 90A welder. Second best tool investment I made.

Wire the metal hinges to a button and then press button for results. It also works for skirt hinges too.

I don't have a picture of it handy right now but I've got a propane flamethrower made out of a 4.5 oz camping grill propane tank and some plumbing I had lying around.
