To be an efficient stock builder you have to know all that axle loading glitchy voodoo.

Since you're running a Core 2 Duo, it would be advisable to get a 64-bit OS, and barring that, you're hosed. 32-bit OSes will only recognize 4GB of memory, which includes your RAM and video card memory, dedicated or not.
Ahhhh but it takes so long to redownload all my programs >.> plus torrenting OS is tricky business. It's probably not worth the effort for like half a gig of RAM difference. On a side note, even with 32bit operating system could I use ReadyBoost?

Did you know when I was first starting out I thought that bot was AWESOME, and it's probably the reason I joined the forum in the first place?
I don't know if this is sarcasm or not O,o
I'm completely serious. I remember seeing that robot in a google search and drooling, something like "SPINNING WEAPONS horizontal on a disc?! WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THAT." or the like. Then finding the forum and such.

Almost 90% of my past robots were just laughably terrible.

Err... people can play RA2 however the hell they want, but if they want to get better (as in effective builders) we as a community share some common truths that every good builder should know. As for the playground, it's fine. Playgrounds are for kids who just wanna have fun, and the people there can graduate to the normal forum whenever they want to. Unfortunately, the normal forum is RA2 based.
