Seems pretty good, apart from the syncing problems with the sound.

Is the 5-second deficit across all tracks? It could just be aspects of the Mexico course that favour the R3 and S1600 over the R2.

It doesn't look that unbalanced to me. Although that might only be because there's one R2 class car. Let's see how the Mexico rally goes, then I'll see how things pan out.

I'd say Urjak, NFX or S_M to win. Down to wedges mainly, though.
Only bots here who really scare me are Infinity (ty4er) and Hairline Fracture (NFX).
nfx:

Seems to be some support for my bot. I've got a pretty bad draw, though, but I believe I can make it to the knockout stages, where I should be able to do well, depending on who else goes through. I'm quite confident with my wedges, so I should be able to get under quite a lot of stuff. I'd like to at the very least make the top 3 this time to make up for being cheated out of the final last time. =P

God.
Therefore, no.

Reasonably sound proof, I feel. :gawe:

It may have been firing due to the hammer coming into the smartzone, rather than the chassis. Perhaps Popup.py would have been more effective in that situation.

I think if you put it on a Servo or Motor, and have it spin in the opposite direction to the bot, that would give the appearance of staying in the same place. It'd be hard to get it right, though, and probably a bit trickier to AI.

Fantastic UI work. I need to learn how to do stuff like that. The background looks a little bit empty to me, though, maybe you could add a few battleshots or something in.

Turn/Turnspeed is too high. That's why the swaying happens.

The Jam - The Eton Rifles

3.)The third song is the song that plays while you're getting chased by the horde.
The Rolling Stones - Paint It Black

4.)The fourth song plays when you're forced to kill your loved one.
Rage Against The Machine - Killing In The Name Of

5.)The fifth song plays when you find your new love interest.

It may either be the turn or the turnspeed. If they're too high, it becomes difficult for the bot to aim itself straight at the opponent accurately.

It was a discussion about why conjoining every word in a sentence is stupidly difficult to read and annoys people. FOTEPX decided to ignore Naryar, type in hexadecimal to show what he would do if he wanted to properly annoy Naryar, and received a two-day Mute.

Hopefully he won't poke Naryar with a stick quite so much this time.

PMbomb'd with remedied skins.

Just out of interest, is there a car viewer I can download so I can see what my skin looks like?

Virus Bomb first. Hmm...was hoping to meet him later, but oh well. I hope I can take a stabiliser off, or get a lucky hit in. Otherwise I think I need VB to beat Craaig to be in with a shout of making it out of my league.

But tribars are far too thin to be effective, I think.
Too...thin?
Yeah. Look at how spindly the arms are, and the vast amounts of space between them. Shame it doesn't work, but you could take this and make it into a conventional popup with some sort of FS/HS hybrid feature.

Wow, THIS guy is old guard. Welcome back to the boards. =)

But yeah, DSL has moved on quite a lot in the past six years. But has split into two camps, sort of. There's regular DSL, which goes for efficiency and combat effectiveness at any cost, and there's also an "IRL" building style, which focuses more on creating designs you would see in real life competition. So you could pick whichever one most appeals to you, and focus on going down that road, or attempt to go for both. But not at the same bot, that wouldn't really work too well.
