They ARE sports but WWE isn't I know..
Sports require physical exertion. Driving a car does not.

This is supposed to be my senior year of college (had I not switched majors and taken time off). I think I may go back next semester (and I may switch majors yet again).

NASCAR, Formula 1, WWE, and WRC are definitely not sports. If golf counts as a sport, it only just barely qualifies.

I have been raised to never throw away food on my plate. Also if I commented and said I didn't like some certain food, they gave me more and I HAD to eat it. So if people take too much food, they should overeat just to avoid wasting food? It'll go bad anyway. Who cares if it's sooner rather than later? 1912

This is a double post, I know, but I'm far to lazy to edit this into my previous post.
Quote from: Weirdo;58635 Why drive an MPV or SUV with no-one in it, when you could use a bus?! Why do you assume that public transportation is good in every city? My city, for example, has terrible public transportation. To get anywhere, I would have to wait an eternity for the bus, and then have it not go where I want to go. Quote from: Weirdo;58635 Why all the excess packaging on toys? Or anything? That, I do not know. 1915
Chatterbox / A worrld of retArdednes« on: August 09, 2009, 09:04:31 PM »Quote from: DuckRA2;58625 Why so idiotic? People, for the most part, always have, and always will be morons.[/quote] Quote from: DuckRA2;58625 Why would you rather bike on an exercise machine when you could bike outside on a real bike? There are multiple reasons. The following are examples that come to mind: You don't have to deal with traffic if you're biking on a machine in your garage instead of riding around town. If you're a bit hefty (or not), you might be embarrassed to exercise in front of the public. You might not be coordinated enough to ride a bike. It could be raining outside, or snowy. Quote from: DuckRA2;58625 Why run on a tread when you can run outside? Basically the list I provided for the bike could apply here as well. Quote from: DuckRA2;58625 Why buy fat free when you should just eat less? Why assume that eating less would be better? Eating healthier isn't necessarily eating less. Some fat free* products are actually quite good for you like skim milk. You get all of the goodness of milk without all the fat. *Fat free is actually just really really low amounts of fat. Quote from: DuckRA2;58625 Why spend money on stuff you can't afford? For one, spending stimulates the economy. Secondly, it provides pleasure (at least in the short term). Quote from: DuckRA2;58625 Why watch sports all day when you can play them? Why assume that we're all coordinated enough to play the sports we enjoy (assuming we enjoy watching any of them)? This is sort of like asking, "Why listen to music all day when you can play it?" Quote from: DuckRA2;58625 Why artificially color foods when there is no reason to? Presentation. Most food colorings have no negative effects to them, so why not? It makes the foods look cooler. Quote from: DuckRA2;58625 Why have special words for fat people? (person of mass, obese) What kind of stupid question is that? We have "special words" so that we can accurately describe things. Do you really want a lecture on why we've developed language? Quote from: DuckRA2;58625 Why throw away food if it costs money? Believe it or not, foods go bad. They go bad very quickly if they're not handled appropriately. Why keep around moldy/rotten food? Why eat such food if it has the very high probability of making you sick? Quote from: DuckRA2;58625 Why kill animals for fun when you won't eat them? I don't know. I don't hunt, nor do I see the appeal of hunting. Quote from: DuckRA2;58625 The list goes on... Continue it No. 1916
Chatterbox / finally going back to school.« on: August 09, 2009, 08:41:11 PM »Quote from: Viper89;58502 I'm glad to hear your going back to school:-D. I agree about what you are Saying about Community Colleges and Universites. It was the same thing I was trying to tell Frezal in the Technophobe thread, who said that the college I was going to dosen't even count as going to college just because it was a "Community College" And said it was a running start???. There is no real difference besides the Universites are bigger with more people(better parties from what I experienced;)) and are way more serious about sports like division 1 and etc.... I like Community Colleges because they are smaller, more 1 on 1 with teachers if you need help, and Like you said save you a sh** load of money. Alot of people do community colleges first than transfer to universties like what I'm doing:smiley:. Best of luck this semester That is not at all what I said. I went to community college. It's very much real college. I was implying that you are a high school kid taking college courses at a community college. If you are not, both your college and your high school failed you. Everybody who is in college should have at least average reading comprehension skills. 1917
