Sure it is going towards IRL... it's unrealistic but irl. Is this a new thing ?
and yeah, you really only need 2WD for all MW's. Especially for a HS.
axes are awful for spinners. keep them for rammers and pokers (piston bots).
also in DSL we tend to build realistically unlike in stock. that means no moving components going through other moving components, or motors and wheels and batteries and anything that isn't just a static bunch of metal/plastic.. it's just a soft taboo and you can build DSL unrealistic, but no one will accept an unrealistic bot in a DSL tournament.

Hmph, barbarian.
Melee Weapons and Unarmed are the best weapon skills. Big Guns and Energy Weapons are OK because they have some nice toys in it. But less viscerally satisfying (and not to mention less manly) than the two above. And I suppose it is ok if you use stealth to kill opponents in melee, like a ninja. Otherwise...

so we have to share 1200 kg between the stock bot and the DSL bot ? i don't think it is is a good idea because people will enter 150kg gimmick near-invulnerable caster armor beetleweights/unreachable flying guillotine types in stock, or enter a 1150kg stock monstruosity that outwedges and kills everything else and a tiny box with wheels in DSL.
just give equal weight for both. I suggest SHW because SHW stock doesn't happen often.

blades are bad in stock. replace them with iron spikes. maybe with a smaller disc ?
you don't need 4WD on this. you don't need unpowered wheels in general. remove the front wheels and use plows/ramplates/weapons as stabilizers.
use the round extenders they are better (lighter) than the square ones for the same strength, they're just a tiny bit harder to use.
you can remove the Nifty, a black battery is enough.

that's the best part of stock! it's like a really intense puzzle game, with lots of strategy and spatial recognition. plus, the end result is sexy and battles things.
you have't felt pain until you build a 36HS off of a single axle mount... doesn't mean it wasn't my proudest build!
so do you like tediousness ? does the pain of it all thrills you ?
