heheh , V2 and V3 even harder than V1 ,je?

Not sure about V2, but V3 is the biggest 'fair' challenge you'll get.

dang , these bots are quite strong.Gotta make pretty good bot for them..

Heh. When you're done with those, get Starcore V2.

When you're done with those... Starcore V3.

By that time... Starcore V4 might of came out.

It's titanium

You keep forgetting that not choosing armor (I.E: no armor) is as light as aluminum, but stronger then steel?

Hate to admit it, but this rookie just taught me how to have 2 spikes on the same tribar position.

@Redline: I like the idea, but that off-center razor worries me.

The bot is actually very stable. Well, yeah, it does sort of do a slight floor humping motion, but it keeps to the floor in it's current state. Within LW bounds, ofcourse.

Guys, I'll see what can be done. For now, I'll get another bot in this showcase sometime.

U should change the disk and put rotator bar and those same razor things :)
And why theres an other razor next to other , no need's for that dude :)

Well, I wondered about the rotator bar... think I decided to go for the disc for lower weapons. And more of them.

But the extra razor on this disc is intended.
Without it, the bot's stuck upside down. With it, it can spin back on it's wheels.

Hmmm... well, there's quite a bit of front protection. Which is good. The wheels could be protected too though.
Two DDTs... sometimes isn't enough for a good flipper in the HW class. Or atleast it's harder to get a powerful flip.
A lot of wasted space there. Might be able to shrink the chassis by about 10~25%.
Needs to use the 800kg limit more.

WARNING:
The robots in this thread may suck real balls. Don't point out the obvious.

-----

Here's the first of this showcase. Synapse.

Additional Notes:
My strongest non-popup LW.
Breaking off the disc reveals a D:< face
Semi realistic. (Unsure if the razors clip the rear wheels)

There are no bugs, I made sure of it. If you downloaded and applied the Awesome patch properly to a clean copy of RA2GE, all the codes should work perfectly. All the codes are case-sensitive and character sensitive. So if you leave out letters it wont work.

This issue however will be much harder to find with a exe extractor doing the job for you all in the next version.

That's interesting. Believe it was correctly installed.

Copied the codes right out of the Event files and those ones I mentioned didn't work.

Seems to be more bugs in the CODEMASTERS system then you intended.

The passcode to change to the stage 4 events doesn't seem to work, and stage 3's Chrome lock 3 passcode doesn't work.

Other then that, great. :)

Hm.

Seems like the 'new' RA2 online is described in two words - Packet loss.

Unless it's my connection. Or the host's. Hmm.

General Support / Trying to get a resolution of 2560x1600 to work properly
« on: February 22, 2009, 06:09:42 AM »
I don't think this game was made with the mere thought that someone's monitor resolution could be that large. It's twice as large as the average user back in the day.

General Support / Major slowdowns, MSN caused?
« on: February 21, 2009, 04:10:40 PM »
I'm having a very weird problem with RA2 most of the time.

After long MSN usage it seems, the game slows down to the point where the main menu lags, the insides of a bot are invisible on the components section and such for several seconds (loading?) and no motor can do anything.

It affects both my stock version and DSL one, and closing MSN does nothing. It affects no other program other then RA2.

Discussion / For the "original stock" teams: BW/AW/SHW bots?

I probably wasn't clear enough, trying again:
AW/SHW/BW bots for AI teams (Red Zone, Team Spark, etc...)

Looks like I was right this time.

The answer? - in DSL 3.0, probably. Now it's possible to have 16 random teams from the whole list of them (apparently) ... Red Zone and the likes could be original teams.

In stock? Well, Starcore 3 (and soon 4) nullifies the point. Unless you want a realistic challenge.

Try the starcore AI pack. (v. 3 or 4) The bot are much better, plus it has AW-BW-SHW bots.

I think he was wondering more about the teams in DSL 3.0.

Semi-realistic?
Does the weapon clip the batt or something?

I think it does. It's hard to call,  so I say semi-realistic to not be right and not be wrong.

Sounds interesting, but lag would be an issue, I think.

Even offline? Because the DSL Challenge arena works well. If you're not talking of the challenge arena proposed here, still, the DSL one, and the Battlebox are some of the more overloaded arenas there are.
