Ooh I like the chassis setup. Very slick and efficient, and no external motors!
Though you're going to have battery issues, and drive issues, and the casters also need to be thicker in order to effectively repel HS's (at least 15cm height).
Still a cool bot, does a good job of not being a clone.

But there is one... *c showcase* Oh it's not here. Must've been posted on the old forums.

If it looks similar to the SC4 Jubjub Bird, it's because I just switched Flaying Mantis to a single hammer and caster armor to make Jubjub Bird.

It sounds familiar. I believe it's one of the things FB modded Dummy's compiler to be able to do, but I never used it because I don't know what it is.
What is it?

Ooh ooh ooh ooh!
Very simple (I think) idea that would be totally awesome.
Increase the draw distance in Exhibition.
I could make soooooo many cool arenas if you could just see further. And some existing arenas would also be cooler with more draw distance, like the Infinity Arena and the Keznorg IGC (imagine being able to see the bottom of the pit). And it would vastly improve the Race mode I plan to do for DSL3.
The practice arena mode has a massively long draw distance (~1000 meters) for some reason, but Exhibition doesn't.

Haha, FB wrote that when he made the Spectator Cam (hence the insults directed toward the spectator). He was hoping it would display the whole thing when you switched cameras in the game (but alas, it doesn't). I still chuckle every time I read it. The Small Arena is full of random humor like that... probably more than any other arena. There's also the crusher and the intro. Yet somehow it managed to become a staple tournament arena alongside RA2T2 and the Combat Arena. Not only the .pys'. The DSL skins are hilarious.
Heh, I was only starting to hide stuff in the empty space when I was making DSL2. Nowadays I do it on every bot I make. My favorite is still Aquarius 2 though... I wonder if Naryar even noticed that there's a baby in a bee suit painted on the bottom, and it's completely visible on the Nar AI version (it was covered by Ti sheets on the original).

I don't start keeping track of rankings until all the bots have fought twice. There's too many ties with only one battle.

Aw man, I'm against the Metal Mutts next. I have a feeling they're going to be trouble. I'm confident I have at least a 50/50 chance against any other bot in this tourney... but the Mutts are going to be trouble.

RIP RANKINGS Wanted to do this for a while. Full rankings for both Rust In Pieces tournaments. Scores are calculated on number of wins divided by number of losses plus four(Same as BBEANS) They are ordered by score (largest first), then wins (largest first) then losses (smallest first). FULL RANKINGS - CLICK HERE
Yay, Coolest and Most Original! Yay, BBEANS-style rankings! Yay, top 10! Though how do I have a 2-3 record? Megawhirl V and Timber II both went 1-2 if I recall correctly.

Round 1, part 4/4 is up! That completes round 1. Next up, the loser's bracket--time to eliminate some bots!
And let me tell you, there were A LOT of surprises this time. Well, two anyway. Maybe three. But they were pretty big ones.

+ maelstrom
*takes a closer look at the splash* Oh there it is. *sees inside shot* Wait that bot isn't 4WD? I thought it was. Definitely try to get 4WD on there. 4WD is almost as good on small-diameter VS's as it is on popups. *looks again at splash* Heeeey wait a minute, why do you have a battleshot of you beating Click Beetle in the Combat Arena?

I tried plows, battle axes, and small wedges, but not ram plates... but those still have 1000 HP so I can't see it making a difference. The problem is that there are no durable components in stock like there are in DSL. The blades were the best at flipping out of all the options I tried, so I kept those.
In any case, my final entry is much better than either of these bots.

I like the name. I can't believe nobody's used that yet.
And this is the best HW popup I've seen from you. If you put the wedge Snappers closer to the edges, you can move the DDTs closer to the front, which will make it even better because it will hit the bottom of bots easier.

The bindings look fine to me. Make sure that:
- You have Rammer.py, Spinner.py, SpinnerOmni.py, and Pusher.py in your AI folder. - You have at least 15 AI teams. - All these bots are in a folder named "TeamX" where X is the number of their team in Teams.txt. - The bot files are named Bot0.bot, Bot1.bot, Bot2.bot, Bot3.bot, Bot4.bot, and Bot5.bot.

You didn't happen to delete any of your teams recently did you? Deleting teams makes all your bots do a gravitational redshift and crash the game when you try to load them.
Solution: Fill up your Team HQ with more teams.

Would like some feedback on that one... did i did it right ?
Well does it work? If so, yes. :P I don't see any obvious problems with it. It should work.

BBEANS AI use the renames for DSL release
All right, I will do this.

Actually, without an official SHW class, I think just raising the weight limit would be a bad thing. Why? There's nothing that tells you when you've hit the normal HW weight limit. HW would then become an unofficial class like AW and BW, while SHW would be the new HW. Also, imagine building a bot, thinking you've got it all figured out, then you finish it and think, "All right this thing is pure WIN, I'm gonna go own some NAR AI..." and then you happen to glance at the weight as you're taking the preview picture... it's 898.7 kgs instead of the 798.7 you thought it was. However this other stuff you're doing with the exe looks very promising. I would be all for a max sphere-less bot lab.

Some good matches, Click how come bisector drives like that?
Because of the way the drive is positioned in relation to the chassis. I've noticed that if you have your drive mounted in front of your chassis, the bot doesn't drive straight (and, conversely, if your drive is mounted behind your chassis you don't drive straight in reverse--see Meteorite and 1.8). It seems the further away from the chassis the drive is, the more extreme the effect. I have plans for a Bisector III that has the chassis in the front rather than way in back, so it will drive straight. But priority #1 is getting the matches recorded.

I don't enter the same bot in multiple tourneys because either
a) I don't have a bot pre-made that meets the rules of the tournament I'm entering
b) There's another bot that qualifies that I want to try out and see how it does
c) The bots I entered in previous tourneys are outdated
However, if I ever won a tournament, I think I would enter the same bot in another tournament to see how long I could go undefeated.

Meeeh, there's something missing.
Pyscolone, MNB, and Jules are the only veterans who might have entered BBEANS6 but didn't, and I don't think you'll get any of them to enter this. MNB maybe, if you got ahold of him, but I can't see Pys entering a tourney hosted by an untested newbie (no offense intended to 027 LB), and Jules isn't active enough.
Then you're just left with the newbies who joined (or got better at DSL) after BBEANS6 started... and at that point you might as well just make a generic DSL LW tourney.
Now what might work is allow people in who entered BBEANS6, but they have to enter an upgrade to their BBEANS bot (I know JoeBlo has a better version of Predator, and I know I could improve Bisector.) However you should limit the number of such people (say, half the bracket size) to give the "latecomers" a chance to get in.
