do what BBEANS5?:?:?:?:? No... I meant use up all of the weight you're allowed. Roughly 250kg for LW, 400kg for MW and 800kg for HW. If you have a bot that weighs 401kg, it's a heavyweight, and you've wasted a useful 399kg! If you lighten it by about 6kg, then you'll have a middleweight which uses pretty much all of the weight available for that class.

One of the DSL cheat motors is a servo clamp, BTW. So it actually works? I remember being told that claws and gripping things don't exactly work..

this bot seems (to me) like a bot to put into bbeans when the time comes When you use up the remaining 130kg, yes. There's a 800kg weight limit in BBEANS HW contests. Use it. And like that other guy said, use Hypno wheels. Apparently the grippiest around.

--- https://gametechmods.com/uploads/files/RedZoneArena.zipMy Lumazone reskin/tweak. The spikes are tougher and a lot more powerful, the central zone is a gentler slope, and it's now bordered with flamers. Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch and Battle Royals. Things to do in the future - Make it possible to flip out of the arena. (That'd also help with my latest project - Converting the Hilltop Arena into an arena for Tabletop matches.)

Saws are actually one of the most destructive weapons you can have in DSL. Simply you need to protect them well... Wonder if that's a overpowering issue.

I think my discs are 100 mm. I couldn't get anything bigger as a vertical blade. Lose the saws. They're crap in stock RA2, they're probably still crap in DSL. Use a 50cm disc and load it with small, light high concussion spikes. (Maybe the Hardened ones)

Well... I can see why people don't like your robots.
- Sheet wedges beat chassis wedges. [Deleted idea]

Just remember that for the time being, you are still tied with Starcore in the Standings  There are quite a few people tied there. Well, in score anyway. From no. 47 to 59. Even includes me. Don't understand how some creators have stuff like 4 KOs and 3 WBPs when they have a record of 1-2. That must be what separates people, but unless someone can explain what I mentioned... Some people on the standings have 0 wins, but apparently won by points. Even the guy with 0-4.

There were more byes than bots in the first round of the Loser's Bracket. Yeeeshh... that's terrible.

he means his stock bots beat some DSL ones. It could also mean his DSL bots were bad before and this is the first time he's actually won with his own creation on DSL.

Exactly what i was thinking... It's not really curved extenders, but a curved hammer arm.
Look at Sage's showcase, yeah. Oh, it's actually possible? ^^;

Dreamed yes, but probably at the time held back by lack of people able to even try attempt it.
Normal arenas wouldn't work ofcourse...

The square and round extenders are the same. Same HP, same hit power required to break off (I.E: fracture) but the square extenders are heavier.
To 'answer' your question though - Why make a virtually realistic game (The glitches and some components holding it back) just to make it unrealistic?

A few frame (e.g: Tornado's 'chassis' is not the real thing) related ideas I'm gonna throw out. It'd be tricky, but worth it.
1 - Frames the normal player can use. Building blocks to making an full external chassis, including attachment points on the actual frame for armour plates to go on. 2 - Armour plates to fit each side of the frame. Just so the whole sheet GMF doesn't break off from hits only to the top. 3 - Maybe have a row of 3 attach points for particually long frame sides. A whole sheet coming off from concentrated blows is almost as bad as having the sheet as one GMF.
Could make a mock up of what I'm talking about on Paint or something, if you don't understand.

With a bit of tweaking, my creation might actually pose a threat now.

Whoa, I thought this showcase wasn't going to get any comments until I posted a new bot.
Well, in my experience... the disc always breaks first. The hammers take about 2 minutes of pure fighting. Usually enough.
I'm with you on changing the motor. But to achieve the same semi-realistic-ness, I might need to make it an external motor so it can hang around the same place.

Don't expect results but my creation has just been sent to Clickbeetle.
