LRA2 had a bit of an advantage being that he was active on the forum for a bit longer. It was still a decent showdown. If they were to face off again I think it still could go either way. It was just another awesome idea by Craaig. 1864

Site News and Feedback / Re: AVATARS« on: May 03, 2010, 04:23:18 PM »Excellent speech! I am 90 percent sure it will be stock. People are going to be burnt out from DSL after the flood of BBEANS video madness hits us. Stock needs some love. 1867

Haha. Thank you ACAMS. I wasn't expecting that.
And thanks for the congrats you guys. I appreciate it. My next step is to host a tournament and build up my AI skills and recording capabilities. I think that most Advanced Users need to solidify those skills. I will be posting info about my tournament pretty soon. I have a ton of notes to go though and type up. Maybe if I didn't drink so much I would be able to learn faster and be as 1337 as Naryar wants me to be. :P 1868
Discussion / Re: how« on: May 02, 2010, 09:04:36 PM »Pretty sure that there is a thread somewhere named "devils chassis". I do not blame sparkey though for not finding it. This is the most F***cked up search function I have ever used. I can never find anything. Truth is that all bots built nowadays are basically fulfilled in the sense of what they need as a chassis with just a box. No need for confusing chassises where nothing really fits in the extra parts. The search fuction is goofy because it only searches threads that are active on the page you are currently looking at. If you click on the Forum tab on the top and then type in your search it will search the entire forum. And yes... somewhere there is a question made by Sonny about the Devil chassis... and the answer is posted there. Might be the replicas thread I think. Stock Showcases / Re: Jack Daniels' Showcase« on: May 02, 2010, 05:58:33 PM »can I see blade runner, anklebiter and suckerpunch? Blade Runner and Suckerpunch are in my noob bot voting thread. I let people choose which bot was going to compete in Noob Warz. I had to skin Suckerpunch for the tourney though. https://gametechmods.com/forums/index.php?topic=2542.msg69220#msg69220 I will take a screen of Anklebiter a bit later this eve & post it. 1870
Stock Showcases / Re: Jack Daniels' Showcase« on: May 02, 2010, 05:50:51 PM »Wait, What about Blue Thunder, your NW1 Bot? @Naryar. I have no idea why I put a ballast in there... really I don't. We are all noobs in the beginning right? Hahaha. @Badnik96 Blue Thunder was one of my first bots, but it wasn't the first one in my showcase. I think that one was 3rd or 4th. Built around the same time though. Same with Rustmonster. My other first bots were Blade Runner (Shudder... damn that was a horrible bot... I still have it) and Anklebiter. Suckerpunch was built a short while after that when I got crazy and made all sorts of weird concept bots. 1871

ACAMS might shoot this down because he does not want copyrighted material on the GTM file uploader. Though, if we choose songs that had videos via youtube you can just post all the links and we can listen to them through youtube. Just a thought.

Tournament Archives / Re: General Tournament Discussion« on: May 02, 2010, 05:38:32 PM »I noticed that After all, CA2 wasn't very popular... But you can't always win. I am not sure how you measure popularity of a tournament. Participation (as GK pointed out) is a good indicator. However, I think a lot of builders feel stumped by building AW robots due to the limitations. I, for one, enjoy that kind of challenge. CA2, to me, ranked behind BBEANS and Clash Cubes as far as my favorite tournaments go. You do a great job with recording and speed of posting videos. I am proud to have participated in Combat Ants. 1873

Feast your eyes on my first ever showcased bot from many moons ago.
I was so proud of it... I felt it was innovative and powerful. Needless to say it didn't take long for the vets to tear it apart and peer-pressure me into downloading starcore to step up my game. Ah, how the times never change. ![]() 1875
Tournament Archives / Re: BTTB - Signups« on: May 02, 2010, 01:12:17 PM »@JD: Do you just want the first bot you showcased here? Honestly no. My first Stock bot showcased on this forum is Sir Robin the Brave for the King Of Karnage tourney. Which was made a couple of years after I first started playing this game. When I made my first showcase way back when, I put up 5 bots for people to look at. The very first bot on the list was Windmill. I can put a pic of that bot in my showcase if you want. I still have it saved in my stock RA2 folder. 1876

Chatterbox / Re: Cooking« on: May 01, 2010, 01:41:26 PM »(of a heart attack... but at least I didn't use real butter.)If you used margarine, you ate something even worse for you. While the saturated fat in butter is bad, the trans fat in margarine is even worse. I used "I can't believe it's not butter" which has less fat than butter and no trans fat at all. I believe it is soy based. :D http://www.icantbelieveitsnotbutter.com/home.aspx I didn't mix my omelette because I got fickle while making breakfast. I put three eggs in the pan because I wanted to have them separately over easy. But then, an omelette seemed like a better idea so I just poked the yolks and cooked it up from there. Usually, when I actually have a gameplan... I mix the eggs up before starting. But, with a hangover, this morning I was just unfocused. |
