I should probably post this because people starting posting 24HSes before I could propose my 24HS challenge :\

This bot would've been the baseline for bracketing. 4 casters, 3 ramplates (the top one was due to an extremely lucky anchor stack, thanks to NC's tool).

I'll probably go on to a more serious hybrid 24HS before school starts in a day and a half. D:

Whoa wut happened

At this rate you're probably better off with a T chassis instead of a U chassis.

Just wanted to name a bot Zoidberg, so I took a whack at building a LW FG with 4 flails. But unfortunately I can't skin the whole bot pink. D:

Oh well. 3mm plastic and stuff. Aluminum sheet provides invertibility as well.

Go for ice picks instead of razors.

1847
Try to use HP-Zteks for drive, and reduce the chassis, if you can. anyway, not bad for an early bot.
PS: weird motor you have in the middle :)

This is how people should post, especially for newbies.

Off-Topic Discussion / Re: SKBT Needs to Learn C
« on: June 10, 2011, 10:08:32 AM »
Notepad's good enough for making C code, but Notepad++ is recommended for ease of viewing (syntax highlighting).

Also, make sure you have a C compiler (I used Cygwin, but you can get Codeblocks as a text editor with a built-in compiler).

As for guides, pretty much the first sites you encounter on Google will do.

The learning curve probably starts to get hairy once you learn pointers and pointer-to-pointers.

Because Sage didn't enter a generic design this time.

Rule of 7 gave me no choice but to use ice picks. Besides, RfD seems to have done well with pointy tips.

Also, you do realize running gags here are never serious, right? :P

Cool MW RfD too.  You really need 2 counter-rotating spinners on that design though in order to be stable.  I originally put 3 spinners on RfD, but the third spinner threw off the balance and it was horrible, and 4 spinners was too heavy, so I ended up loading way too many maces on 2 tribars.

If you managed to cram 2 spinners on there you might be able to get away with a Snapper 2 for the hammer since the bot won't spin around as much.

Also, this is one of those rare designs that performs better as AI than human-controlled.  All those battles in the RfD splash were AI'd.

Because Click is just that awesome.

399.6 kg (planning to get rid of that 0.6 kg by lowering the chassis down 2 notches), DSA, 3 casters and redbird drive. Much more annoying against wedges than I had expected, but it's much more helpless against VSes and HSes than I expected as well. As long as the plow isn't removed, it's stable. And as long as it has most of the irons intact, it can self-right with the hammer.

Have you tried toying around with the F9 window? BBros' cheat mode pack might give you some other stuff that piques your interest:

Also what batteries ? This looks too small to have a black on it. Hell even a black is borderline for 6 motors.

Dude the bot is more than a year old hahahahaha (just wanted it to perform up to its potential after its lackluster performance in Jonzu's tourney)

My BoN entry is better :P

As in two of the spinners have irons instead of razors

A small price to pay for more trollage against wedges instead of against maced HSes. Besides, I built the original (also more than a year old :P):

Anyway, yeah he gets my vote.

Most unique: Dark Void 2
Unluckiest: Protostar (+ other characters)
Luckiest: Cacodemon
Most entertaining: Simply Volatile
