Building up a large park in RCT2, which is popular for a long time. Then suddenly, ratings start going down. I check the problems, do stuff according to peep thoughts (IE. Hiring extra handymen for dirty paths), and it still keeps going down, even I try to improved it as much as possible.

It's happened to me a few times before, and typically ends in "Angry German Kid"-style moments (Minus the keyboard and German language) and shouts of-
"I TRY TO DO MY BEST FOR YOU UNGRATEFUL sh**S AND THIS IS HOW YOU REPAY ME?!?"

Heheh, been there done that.

Divine revenge is served when you make a coaster that is perfect for them... and then take a section away while there is a full load.  Catastrophe ensues.

Why is it that all GTM Members think that Spambots sell Viagra?

Well the forum stats currently show the male to female ratio as 40.3 to 1

Apparently the clever spambots see this stat.

There was that one time we had a Spambot peddling Womens Skiwear, jewelry, and whatnot.  But Barbie had not been around in while and Scourge of teh Galaxy had not joined yet.  Poor timing I guess.  I am sure that both of them would have snatched up some Skibunny outfits.

Barbie would have gotten the pink one with baby seals on it.

Scourge prolly would have gotten the orange one to use for Naruto Cosplay.

Coordinating clickbeetle nests would have been a much more interesting master project.

As far as i know, the beetle order does not have any social species (or really really few) and do not form nests :P

Precisely! That is why it would make a more interesting project if he pulled it off.

Sorry guys that I haven't been around for a while.  I've had an infinitesimal amount of free time lately as I've been rushing to build solitary bee nests and set them up in a park 200 miles away from where I live (it's for my Master's project).

Now it's finals week and I'll be busy again.  However, once that's over I'll have more free time and I expect things to start moving right along with BBEANS.  So just hang on for another week.  Your patience shall not go unrewarded

I am disappointed with you.  Coordinating clickbeetle nests would have been a much more interesting master project.  It could have even earned you the nobel prize.

I have not downloaded any of those bots myself. But just be aware that some bots have custom components, and you cannot use them in your game unless you have added the custom components as well.

Sage is right. The link in his sig is the cat's meow. (whatever that means)

do you repair computers?

I work on the computers that I have at home.  But, at work, I manage inventory/shipping/receiving.  I work for a worldwide electronics retailer that sells and services computers.

I know that,  but they are still separate mostly.

Heheh. It's cool. I was just picking on yah in a friendly way.

I, honestly find this entire thread to be amusing because everyone seems to base their opinion on their individual experience.  Computers are so fickle in general that sometimes you win sometimes you lose.  Heck, 80 percent of the time computer problems are software/config issues that aren't even related to the construction quality of the machine.

Customers bring computers into our tech dept all the time complaining that the computer is "a piece of crap" because it runs slow.  But, usually, they are idiots that are running 10 Explorer windows of Flash based Pron with only 1 gig of RAM while trying to multitask a billion other things.

On the subject of hardware failures, our number one repair request is hard drives.  And even though your computer can be an Acer, HP, Compaq, Gateway, whatever... it is still going to most likely have a drive made by Toshiba, Hitachi, Western Digital, etc etc.  Most of these computer companies use the same drives by the same manufacturers.

The other common failure is Power Supplies.  And this is why I don't favor Dell because their power supplies (Laptop and Desktop) are usually proprietary and have to be replaced directly through them.  Proprietary construction methods = headache when you want to repair the machine yourself (boooo Dell and Sony)

It is a mixed bag.  My Acer desktop has been good to me, but the Acer laptop that I sold my neighbor just broke last week.  (video ribbon cable is coming loose, resulting in a finicky screen when opened)  My friends brand new Dell barfed a hard drive after only 4 months of use.  They sent a tech out to replace it, but it was still disappointing.   My Apple laptop is 12 years old and works fine for what I use it.  The only thing wrong with it, is the daughtercard fried and it wont charge the battery anymore.  But I just use it on my desk, so I don't care.  I have an old Dell desktop that runs strong and happy, but my folks Dell laptop has been giving them trouble since day one.

So, really, at this point Naryar. All I can say is:  "Don't buy a brand you have never even heard of."  :P
