So I have some sad news to report. My source of drive motors (Harbor Freight 18v drill motors) dried up. I don't have any spares so as of now I have no way of maintaining three robots through one event so currently I'm debating about pulling Shish, and DoorStop and only running Phoenix unless I can find some replacements. I don't have money for dewalts or banebots gearboxes so don't suggest them.

Stats I'm looking for for the motors are 550 RPM after the gearbox, 18v,  size RS550 motor, single speed

The motors looked like this and the drills looked like this if you see anything like that drill in a store PM me with the details; brand, store, ect.

How much weight do you have left? If you've got some extra weight you could make a clamp arm to hold bots on the lifter (like Hot Stuff) so then you could pick up bots and parade them around the arena/dump them out of it.

Another couple robots I am not fond of... Atomic and Wheely Big Cheese... both used Nitrogen in their flippers and I believe that is beyond stupid (Especially with Atomic's setup with a Fire Extinguisher can)

Nitrogen is totally safe as long as you don't exceed your systems pressure ratings. A typical 4" bore cylinder can do 2,700 psi and almost all consumer grade air tanks (paintball) are rated for 3000 psi. Also there's this nice thing called a burst disc that is in all paintball tanks and in most pressure gauges that will burst when a certain pressure is reached.

My thoughts on running an over pressured system are, let them do it and if it blows up it's just an assumed risk that the builder had to take.

I still want to do a FIRST style botm where the bots have t accomplish a task such as move and control the soccer ball. Another fun one would be a the most Rube Goldberg esque way to kill a robot. What I mean by that is somethig like SM's blender bot

JOD uses the small 5kg control board. It's the same one it's used for the past 4 tourneys it's entered. It's never had a problem there.

I don't have power because of Irene and am posting from my phone so if anyone has a copy of Jaws of Defeat could you please send it to DragonFire?
