Video game racing holds no bearing on driving a real car.
ORLY?

YARLY.

Having actually driven a racecar at the local dirt oval, and rolled it several times through turns 3 and 4, I can tell you that video games are nothing like the real thing.

sh** happens much quicker in real life. When I rolled my racecar, I was going into turn 3 and the next thing I knew, I was staring right through the rollcage at nothing but dirt. Apparently, A car even hit mine while it was in mid-air.

Thankfully, I had the presence of mind to shut off the fuel pump as I was still strapped in.

Video games are nowhere close to the real thing. Don't ever think they are.
Yes, I admit there are literally no similarities between dirt oval racing and video games but it has been shown that successful video game racers have become le mans winners so there must be some link, I was disagreeing with the statement that there is no bearing whatsoever.

yea.
But there are cases where people have become world-class drivers through racing games.

Nope, it's a ripoff cause it's a different weight class.
Different weightclass? Really?

OK, Semi Final 1 was just plain unfair. I know he lost but it does seem very harsh.

I refilmed about 200 times and every single time SKBT destroyed him, so I just left it at the closest match.
Wow, you make it sound like you film each match you do lots of times and just pick the on average winner, that's not how it's supposed to work. You film the match and the result is final.

Looks cool, though I always forgot that chassis height BFE squishes the skin.
Anyway, what drive is that?

Match 4 is now up.
We have our 4 semi-finalists.

There will be 5 rumbles hopefully after the final: 1st Round Losers, Robot Wars, Battlebots, Spinner or Flipper, and Champions (i.e. Top 4).
I just need to arrange the 12 middle competitors into 4 RW, 4 BB and 4 of a certain bot type. Any suggestions?

Wow the game is free now? I threw away 5 bucks for nothing

But I did test out the 1.4 version and it does work!

Thanks very much for all the help.
Yeah, why not stick around. The guys here can help you improve a lot if you start a showcase.
