Speaking as someone who grew up in a different decade (and still missed what was arguably the best one for TV shows and cartoons) than some of you, I am so -- so -- sorry that your collective childhoods were filled with such garbage.

Just like how you can't tell me why Godzilla 1998 was a bad movie. edit: I may have actually confused Megas XLR with another similar show, but I can't remember what it was. I believe there was one episode of Malcom in the Middle featuring a Battlebots rumble and the rest of the episode had them building their bot.
They were watching parts of the Long Beach 1999 event on TV, and then they made a robot and Bryan Cranston put laser guided bees on it and named it after his wife.

That was just as glorious as expected. Incredibot can go out happy that it did at some damage now.
My favorite part aside from that first hit was the pop that sent Crush Fetish into the hammer where it lost an entire wheel.

It's not exactly IRL to have weapons play songs when they hit something, but I guess if it has no effect on battle it's OK?
I think if Road Block can blare a police siren during battle then Mr AS can play songs where 95% of the lyrics are the word "ni **a".
