Doesn't look like a logo any old asshole could cook up, though. It's both so over the top and yet lazy (Impact in italics for the 3). I'm not sure what to make of WD Encore Software. I found a catalog of games at http://www.hoylegaming.com/c-4-all-products.aspx which is part of the company. It's mostly paid downloadable casino and slots games with varying themes and yearly editions stamped onto them, digital board games, mystery games... other then that, here's actual games they list: - M4 Tank Brigade (Apparently made in 2012, looks like it belongs in 2002) - Swamp People (Based on a reality TV show. Mobile to PC port, graphics are mobile quality) - Ice Road Truckers (ditto) - Crazy Machines 1&2 (Rube Goldberg machine game, 2 is 52% rating on Steam, 72 metacritic score) - Warlock: Master of Arcana (This is where it starts to get interesting. Released in 2012 and on Steam, this looks like Civ 5 with less UI polish. Thing is, this is published by Paradox Interactive. What do they have with Encore? 86% Steam rating, 71 metacritic score) - Magicka Collection (This one needs no explaining. This is again, Paradox's game. What is this and Warlock doing with budget trash?) So.. perhaps we should be more worried about what the game will look like, than if it exists.

I find it worrying there's no screenshots or information or anything for a release supposedly next year. It also feels weird to be addressed directly like that (i.e Gametechmods).

I'll have to see if I can come up with anything interesting. I don't want to cheese a BOTM again. Lucky Ironforge next to DSL3 tends to be good for interesting.

5th time entering, 3rd time winning, right?

True. Just this feels somewhat sloppy. They innovated, I put Felicia on a white cuboid and gave it razors.

[Insert post from the April post-vote discussion saying to let me win, but it was deleted]
I went for the crazy entry, expecting not to win. The grave realisation this is going to be on the home page for a month, with my (old) username next to it. Oh fack.
CONTEXTCONTEXTCONTEXT: Body Pillow was my Kawaii Fun Time Deathmatch Extreme Waifu Edition entry before I remembered I basically can't build any sort of stock bot anymore. It took around 16 days to actually finish, starting from around the 23rd April. Tried to emulate Alien Queen without actually being good enough to emulate Alien Queen.
I'm debating if I should stop doing BOTM and let someone else win, but that's both a bit insulting and given only 3 entries this time including mine.. perhaps not as harmless as it would have been a few years back.

I knew something was up when it wasn't a judges' decision. Jesus christ, Firestorm has a 10mm steel chassis. That weapon is insaaaaane.
1-4, though. It's not 0-4. And I'm already preparing for BBXI.

All new components, all new robots to fight.
DSL has more arenas and replica robots from Robot Wars and Battlebots. Ironforge is more modern, more options in general.

Tri-Force: I thought we were over the 3-barred SHW spinner craze...
Sorry x) I've been out of the loop and I can barely build SHWs let alone good ones. It's unique in that it's weapon is pitifully lightweight for what else there is there

No worries, it's part of the game. I already shot myself in the foot with a low armour flipper, I just didn't think it'd happen so soon.
I wouldn't be so sure, Ounce. My criteria for making the sheet wedge was that it didn't glitch out and prop itself up on air. It's not been tested against wedges better then 2.1 Scout and it doesn't win there all of the time. I can't even remember if it won most of the time. It was a 2~3 hour build to replace Madd.

I expected a lot less firepower at LW level, part of the reason I made this Gravedigger DSL 2 version a LW. Firestorm and Tri-Force have Steel 10 though so we'll see what happens at HW and SHW. It'll be harder to blast past Plow King at least for a minute or so because of the Behemoth scoop.

I'm expecting this month's to be Stock or something and I won't get the triple x) Can't even stack blacks any more, let alone build a competitive bot. I wasn't even that good when I could. Pretty much out of this.

Badnik: None of them, actually. The dump is of rejects x) You'll see soon enough Kurt: Figured it was a straight sideway normal and it'd have a better chance to hit with it's widest edge on top.

It's really been 11 months? Jeez. Well here comes a DSL 2.1 dump. The theme? Battlebots X rejects. LW: Madd, the Junk Mailer hasn't changed much since Battlebots 5/6. More wedge makers on the front and a spike strip instead of the iron spike/tooth combo, it's still more showy than effective. The nail on the coffin is not being able to have a good, invertible 4WD system with a Judge burst and still have a weapon that won't havok every pop. MW: (Not pictured: Ronin II and Junkyard Warrior, both are unchanged since BB5/6. Just wanted to enter something new) ... Yes. Not interesting, not strong, it's just a skin with wheels. Crocodile. Cool idea, couldn't stand by it. Not sure if it'd pass the IRL check based on the long spikes on hinges Hazard wannabe. Damage gimped because of the normals on the bar and the awkward ways bots drove up the wedge. Wasn't worth figuring out a solution. Hypnodisc wannabe. Good damage, points for style, but srimech havoks. It's not a judge burst either. Rammer robot thingie. Experimenting with side skirts mostly. Compact as all hell, but not interesting enough. For the heavyweights, there's only bots I've shown before. Shard and BAM BAM. Shard may return again someday. I think I made BAM for one of the BBs but just never got around to entering.

Proper out of practice here. I haven't played since January basically. Stunk out a inters bot match and stuff. What do I need to know for season 5 if I'm going to be chasing Platinum?

RA1 physics demo huh? It's an actual thing? I've always wanted to get that working. It's clearly not just changing the game's settings in that data file, whatever it was again. Collisions are still just as clunky.

Oh really, side view:
Yeah, too tall. Can't remember if dual perms fit at the smallest height, but if you can't see all of the drive belt, it can be shorter.
