"Ask somebody to read and explain that to you dumbass" ouch, there is no need to get upset:-D. Ya I obviously have no reading comprehension skills but I only copyed and pasted what you said though lol ??? And you act like internet forum posting reflects on a persons "Real" grammer and comprehensions skills???. I had  to take a placement test in the beggaining of my first semester in college on grammer and Reading comprehension, and from your grades on that they put you in a English class. If you do bad(fail) they put you in the slowest class  basically for the dumbass's which you are implying that I am :D. Well I'm sorry to break the news to you but I past that test with flying colors and have been taking regular English classes sense then.

Congrats on being average and not being placed in a remedial class. want a cookie?

Chatterbox / Grievous Bodily Harm
« on: August 07, 2009, 04:53:43 AM »
About 3 years ago, a former roommate and I were smashed and having a good time stealing sh** from the neighbors like lawn chairs and flags and things, this was a college neighborhood and also in a rather hood part of the city, so when we tried to steal a NFL team banner off of a older guys fence (not elderly but not a college kid), it was secured very tightly, I'm sure it wasn't the first time someone had attempted to steal it. anyway, he caught us and came out of his house screaming so naturally we ran, I'm pretty fast but my roommate was faster and didn't help that I was completely smashed, anyway I think there was some kind of uneven sidewalk so I tried to kind of leap over it and forgot to land but just kept running in the air and ended up doing some kind of superman dive and skidded about 10 feet on the rough dirty city pavement. I had too much adrenalin and alcohol flowing through my system to really feel it at the time even though it did hurt pretty bad, so I got up and kept running back to our house. we lived on a second story apartment so I got to the steps and had to limp up them, my knee felt broken, though probably just severely bruised. I got upstairs and checked out my wounds, I had a giant gash in my knee that went down to the bone, messed up elbow, various scrapes all over my forearms. my right wrist, on the left side where the bone sticks out of your hand was exposed. cut on my face, and scrape on my stomach. it was pretty serious and alcohol has the effect of making your blood not clot. so it wouldn't stop bleeding. I wasn't really worried, I just looked at myself and was like holy sh**, and just laughed like hahah I can hardly feel it. so I slapped some bandages on and cracked open another beer. my soberest roommate tried to get me to go to the hospital, which I definately should have but I didn't. I forgot to mention that I lived in a sh**hole of an apartment. 5 guys, we never cleaned, dirty as **** and I slept on the floor in the living room. after that, I was kinda worried but just kept changing the bandages and hoping it'd get better. but I didn't shower for a few days because the water hurt the wounds so bad. well that was a bad idea because I contracted the MRSA virus. which is a very serious antibiotic resistant infection. but I didn't know this yet. Once I could barely move my knee because it was so swollen and I nearly overdosed on tylenol, which btw isn't fun, idk why, it just makes you feel like you want to kill yourself. and then my finger for some reason swelled up but I had just thought that I got glass in it, but then I could tell that there was fluid underneath and around my nail so a friend told me that I needed to pop it and get the fluid out, so I wrapped my finger in a papertowel, put it on the edge of a kitchen counter and slammed a full beer can on it, it definately popped, but I ended up losing that finger nail, it grew back after a few months tho. When I finally went to the hospital, I didn't have insurance at the time so they didn't spend much time on me, they gave me a cream and a weak antibiotic, it did the job or so I thought, and eventually I healed but it took like two months. and I still have a weird purple scar on my knee and other various scars. well I guess the MRSA virus lived on the outside of my body or in my nose or something because on the 4th of july a couple years ago, I got a bug bite on my hip and then it got very painful and swelled up so I went to the hospital and that's when they confirmed that it was MRSA and I had to have surgery to have a chunk of flesh taken out of my hip. If it would have went into the bone, I could have died. but I got treated in time and they gave me vicoden and 1000 dollar antibiotics that fight antibiotic resistant viruses. Infection is the worst pain I have ever experienced. so don't be a jackass and keep your sh** clean.

All the Robot Wars are in a specific region because they were made in Europe. Meaning most of us can't watch the DVDs anyways.

rip the DVD and remove region information, then reburn to DVD. Ha, a lot of unnecessary work I guess but if you really want to watch Robot Wars that badly.

What rules???? I'm not going change just because 2 or 3 people don't like my grammer or what ever. I'm sick of them singleing me out because of my grammer like I'm the only one on this dam site misspelling words or putting commas in wrong places or what ever. Your post is a good example of what I mean "GTFO", alot of people on this site use abrivations like that but you don't see Frezal and HX crying:baby_smily: about that now do you? I don't have problem with you, what I do have a problem with is people trying to take shots at me  for the fun of it trying to say I don't go to college or is English my primary language or some dumb bullsh!t

I merely tried to give you some advice on how to interact with people using the english language. I don't care what you do but you're not going to get any respect from anyone until you decide to care.

I have yet to use it but it looks like an improvement. I read that windows genuine for it has already been cracked though. Something to do with manipulating it to think it's a pre-activated version packaged with new PC's.

I like what they did to the taskbar. Iconized super bar or whatever they're calling it. I downloaded a custom theme for XP that clones it. looks nice. I don't know, maybe that had that in Vista too, I never upgraded.

EDIT: didn't realize there was a software subforum, my bad.

I posted a thread about it...

I made that! haha so long ago. Simple VB app that just writes text documents with a py extension if I remember correctly.

I went looking for that thread:

Glad to have helped atleast a few people. It didn't get much attention when it was released either. Everyone modding at the time enjoyed DIY more and I can't blame them as its much more thurough and you get a better understanding of what's going on.

I all u had to do is tell me to stay on topic, Really "Shut up" I can post whatever I feel like posting ur not gonna make do anything lol:!:. Maybe u should consider that we were on topic to begin with and fell off topic because ur topic is pointless and boring:tongue:. Technolgy makes life alot easier I don't care what u say or babbling about. And the fact u were saying it makes people less social is hilarious:lol:. For every body to band together and fight the opressors of the world??? And um what u think were gonna use are hands and feet against them, Technology has affected warfare drastically Hell it won us WW2 "Nuclear Bomb" And even today Technology helps alot in the Military And in every Aspect in life, so what are u complaining about:? Techonolgy makes the world go around, "Plain and Simple"

Really great arguement, is that what you tell mommy and daddy when they tell you to get off the computer and go make some real friends? "You can't make me! Your not the boss of me! na na na na na na." :baby_smily:

I don't care what you have to say either, what a coincidence.

You don't always need weapons to enact change in the world.

I thought it was pretty clear that I meant wasteful forms of technology meant to entertain children and allow advertisers to put ads in front of your face at all times to distract them from learning how to speak properly and revert into texting shorthand language, essentially creating mindless blindly consuming drones. (See Idiocracy or Wall-E for an example - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0387808/ ).

Quote from: Weirdo;53505
Viper, I think you need to stop assuming that your opinion is fact. I also think you need to stop using so many smileys and start typing on here with proper grammer.

It's implied that that's what you think when you say it, so saying I think before hand is unnecessary.

PS. grammar.

Quote from: Viper89;53513
My opinion lol. The Nuclear Bomb is a fact and so is medicine improving in time with technology:lol:. Well I really don't care about grammer this is not school and if u can understand me than why whine about it. As for the Smiliey's If there to use then I'm gonna use them, Who are u the Smiliey Police lol

You think that the nuclear bomb is technology that improves the world? That's messed up.

If you want people to talk to you than it's generally a good idea to try and make your messages understandable so maybe you should start to care.

I'm not trying to pick a grudge with u either;). I got better things to do, and Yes he has a point partially. I understand what he is saying and see from his point a view but it's just that technology has done so many amazing things throught out time to this current date( not talking about medicine) it just puzzles me. As for internet making people not seeing people less and meeting people Idk about that one, there is dating sites, webcams, social sites like Facebook, Myspace, And twitter, I've met people I would prolly never meet before using FaceBook and MySpace. In My website that mod phones there are Hackers and modders from all over the world That I would of prolly never of met if it wasn't for the internet. I agree about gaming keeping people inside When I get a cool game Like an Rpg game that takes a good amount of time to beat I play that for days at a time:-D. As for lol's no I dont actually laugh out loud the whole time u guys are not that funny;). And I wasn't bragging I was just stating that I play sports.

I agree that social networking is useful for keeping up with people I've already met but I have my doubts about how meaningful a relationship based online can be, that's just my experience though.

It's all the addons to those social networking sites that take away from the functionality that bother me. Meant only to keep you on there longer, and therefore around to see more advertising.

Yes Viper, you do have a point about meeting new people over the internet on Facebook and forums etc, but apart from the people you hook up with or specicfically ask to meet, are you actualy going to see any of those people in real life? And also my point is many people spend a lot of their time on facebook and forums talking to people. But like I said, how many of these people are they actually going to go outside and meet?

Use caution. That's a good way to get raped.

Quote from: Viper89;53618
Well to begin with I don't use Twitter so........, and I was talking about "REAL" Medicine, like when u get sick and u go to the Doctors and they diagnose u for what u have and give u medicine to make u better?

Really? I never would have guessed that.

Quote from: frezal;53646
Did you know that the internet is now compatible with English? You should give it a shot sometime.

HackerX did not state that all technology was bad. If that's how you interpreted his post, I would suggest boning up on your reading comprehension skills. This topic is about how convenience technology is making us miss out on face-to-face interaction (which actually causes Asperger's like symptons), forget about the important issues in the world, and open us up to all sorts of violation of privacy.

thankyou.

Quote from: Viper89;53821
lol boning up on reading comprehension skills, see I knew u could be more funnier:-D. Frezal When My next Semester of college starts I'm going to work extra hard in English just for u, ur going to be my motavation;) As for the topic I agree partially yes technology I guess now limits face to face interaction( Like I said with playing video games All day). But It's are Personal choice if we want to play video games all day and computers or go outside and play sports or go to the park Not Technology, Technology dosen't control us or tell us to do these things, We do. Yes Technology has given us more options not to go outside all the time or face to face intercations, But it takes two to Tangle : Are personal choice of what we want to do in are spare time/ And yes Technology

That was painful to read.

Way to change your mind after a couple other people started agreeing with me.

How the heck does the catch phrase "two to tango" have any relevance whatsoever in that ...sentence?

Technology doesn't control us YET. Please see The Matrix. hahah.

One last post for now..

A lot of you keep contrasting technology vs. being outdoors. I realize that may have been representative of being more social but you're still missing the point. I'm not telling you to go play sports or join the boy scouts, just take notice of those around you on a regular basis and be friendly towards them. Who knows what might happen!
