Is that an ICBM powered or did you go with a brushed motor?

They already sold it. It's in good hands though. It went to another reputable builder whose name escapes me. I would have bought it if I had $2500 but I didn't because I spent 1,500 on Phoenix.

Yes I started one. It's primary focus will be my adventures in robot combat. I'll try to update it regularly when I'm building something.
Here's the link (its also in my sig) 1789

I see a couple of useful things such as Omni Wheels and overpriced machine screws, but nothing too special.

Receiver
Remote Speed Controller you'll need two of them Drive Motors once again you'll need two or more Motor Mounts Wheels Pick a size that fits your design Battery (some lipo from Hobby King between 300-500mah This stuff should help point you in the right direction and towards building a competitive 1lb antweight. 1792

Most LW and lower bots use drill motors that output 450-1000rpm. Average robot speed is ~10-12mph.
Tire diameter (inches) * Axle shaft speed (rpm) / 336 = speed in mph. So with that a 4" wheel and a 900rpm the speed is just below 12 mph. Which is about average speed for a robot. Also large wheels cause more backforce on gearboxes which means more stress on the gears and a higher likelihood of stripping a gear. How big is the ram and what pressure are you running at? 1795

I'd move the wheels forward to where the battery's are because once you lift something the bot is going to want to faceplant and with the wheels up at the front the bot has a smaller turning circle to get the weapon facing an opponent.
If you don't do that I'd mount most of the heavy stuff at the back to act as a counterweight when you lift another bot. Or just put some outriggers on the front to prevent it from faceplanting. 1799
