I'd just try a traditional box shape chassis and see if I could get the BSGs in. It should be wide enough, and then you might be able to get one last ant in so it will be fully powered.
Not underpowered. 6 ants is fine.

You say you're "too lazy" to reskin components, when replicas are all about getting it down to the most minute details. If you're not willing to try making a good looking replica, there's really no point in trying.

When I'm using only one battery, it slows down after a minute of fight.
I think, high speed is better than four icepicks.
It depends who you fight really. Most matches don't last that long, and if they do it comes down to weapons left. Although I'm no expert on rammers, 1 Black should really be sufficient. EDIT: I think 1 Black + 1 Nifty gives 1200 output. These motors require 1/2 x 400 x 6 = 1200 input
