Chatterbox / Re: What do you think your fellow GTM members look like?
« on: July 17, 2012, 12:06:03 PM »
This is what my imagination creates of you guys

SOTG: Generic IRL Anime character. Avatars with anime characters on them always give that impression.

GF: Might look something like a mix between Light Yagami and the butler d00d from Black and Butler.

Fotepx: Somehow reminds me of Slenderman and BEN at the same time, so uh.. ALWAYS WATCHING; NO EYES. LEAVE ME ALONE. KEEP RUNNING. DON'T TURN AROUND. You shouldn't have done that. You've met with a terrible fate, haven't you?

Naryar: In all honesty, he looks like an unmasked spy in a mixed costume of Captain Falcon, Judge Dredd and M Bison. Sorry. My mind stretches out mentions of races and observations of avatars like a goddamn rubber band. But hey, at least you look like a mix of 4 really awesome guys.

ACAMS: A very young Bill from L4D comes to mind. Not sure why, but it seemed fitting.

Jonzu: I don't even know, you look like a living breathing flux of reality and cyber-reality. Which is something I don't even understand, but my mind does.

Enigma: I think you're a black guy. Not much to say here. Probably with dreadlocks, you seem to like some of the darker alloys of metal.

Gauche Suede: Stereotypical Hispanic/Mexican guy. It's the name, I completely apologize if that's offensive and no where near close enough

Ty4er: Your name reminded me of a guy named Tyler who I thought was pretty epic and so I figured you looked like him too. That's my mind's logic for you. Basically, Semi-long dirty blond hair, blue eyes, kinda tall.

Jack Daniels: Your kindness really confused my mind into a brick wall, so I figured you were younger than I was, because a lot of people older than I are more... realistic, pessimistic even. Now a true facial description doesn't come to mind at all because it's still running into a brick wall.

JoeBlo: I think you look like a clown with the biggest goddamn chainsaw that ever existed. Avatar again, your clown avatar really tickled my brain.

Badnik: You remind me of the new guy who's playing as The Amazing Spiderman.

Kossokei: People have told me, and I truly think, I look like a mix between Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Carribean, Rock Lee from Naruto and Shaggy from Scooby-Doo.

Anyone else getting a slight hint of 'Wannabe Noodle'?
take a guess who joined gtm first
Prolly Hurricane

I believe your assumption is correct...

I'm just not in the best of moods today.

Either way, Noodle is a sh**ty troll and I really would kill myself if I were like him in the slightest.
I think the only thing you two share is the country you live in and your gender

I thought Noodle was a guy?

You're all a bunch of ****ing nerds.

You're on a forum about a game about robotics, in the section of this forum where nothing productive ever happens, in a thread were people say random things because they have nothing better to do, replying to a bunch of people in random parts of the world.

WHAT THE **** DID YOU EXPECT?!

Can I modify his coding a bit so he'll comply?

I'm afraid executing Transvestitation under "C:/Government Citation" would be really ugly looking if the media were to find out.

Why is it that most things of decent grandeur I try to do come crashing down in an ungodly manner due to things outwith my control?

Welcome to life.
I'm fairly successful in life when it comes to smaller things, but first my trip to PortCon, then my craft fayre, and now my holiday, have all gone completely kaput

Delete kaput.exe and whatever is in kaput's directory. Usually, that stops the problem all together.

He's starting to look like an Elite from Halo had giggities with an Argonian.

Also, PONIES OUTSIDE OF PLAYGROUND! (You can't mistake that mane)
Looks like an Argonian on crack (Sorry had to make a Skyrim reference)

I thought moon sugar didn't affect Argonians?

Ah, references.

why the heck are you in 2fort in the first place

This is like saying "Why the heck are you playing TF2 in the first place?"
2fort is horrible. As are most ctf maps :L

^^^
And so is Special Delivery. Both modes just lead to drawn-out games with zero fun at all. There will either be a Bonk Scout who keeps on tagging the case and dying again or a sticky trap, and if the case resets you have to do everything all over again for 20 minutes, from worhtless Ubers to laying crit stickies under the case.

Heck even an evenly matched pair of opponents will have fun of some sort within the back-and-forth fighting in CP or Dual Payload.

I hate the fact that you have to wait so long for the payload to reset on Special delivery, but I absolutely love the ctf, and 2fort especially.

I won't lie I dislike the other ctf maps, they aren't as navigation friendly as 2fort.

Holy crap I hate payload though. I just don't understand it at all and it doesn't make sense when I apply myself to it. It makes *some* sense with Soldier, absolutely pointless with Scout, too much going on for Sniper, but I found a my way with Demoman fairly compared to the 3 S's. Haven't tried it with Spy yet though..

made up a random all your base thing for no reason:
In AD 1995
War was Beginning.
Emperor: What happen?
Prime minister of Japan: Somebody set train up a sarin.
Lawyer: We get signal.
Emperor: What!
Lawyer: Main Screen turn on.
Emperor: It's you!
A S:How are you gentlemen!
A S:All your country are belong to us.
A S:You are on way to the destruction.
Emperor:What you say!
A S:You have no chance to survive make your time.
A S:Ha Ha Ha Ha.....
Lawyer:Emperor!
Emperor:Raid with every 'SAP'!
Emperor:You know what you're doing.
Emperor:Move 'SAP'.
Emperor:For the great justice!

Jap SAPpin' mah A S?

Adding to discussion: Heavies are so much more W+M1 than Pyro, just no-one rages about it because that's pretty much what Heavies were meant to do.

What I find the most annoying class is demoknights. So much 1HKO, then people have the audacity to complain about the Caber.

1 V 1 I'm pretty sure you could beat a demoknight :P

I find engies the most annoying, they have the potential to completely screw over the pace of a match, making it severely dull. Which is why I play soldier or demoman mainly, for long distance sentry removal.

>enemy sentries around OUR intelligence
>"someone go spy and clean up those sentries"
>everyone's sniper, soldier or pyro
*twenty minutes pass*
>"Someone go spy and clean up those goddamn sentries!"
>"shut up u f2p n00b lol"

Me and 2fort have a love-hate relationship.

Yeah, you can easily use the 'PS2 isn't retro because it doesn't have 8-bit and cartridges' logic (which is somewhat true, PS2 and Xbox isn't retro) to say that the PS1 isn't retro either, and I'd certainly say it's pretty classic.

I disagree with this. While not as old as some others, the PS1 is pretty retro. I'm under educated here, but I think PS1, N64 and.. well Microsoft didn't really do consoles back then I don't think so just PS1 and N64 are at the same levels with eachother.

hmm then what of the GBA?

Retro. It's the predecessor to the Nintendo DS for the most part.

I think I've found me a Good Spray.

EDIT: Or if I can get it in Red, this would be good, too.
(Image removed from quote.)
Can you do one of those for Pyros? I hate pyros.
Nope. For comparison, Pyro is maniacal, sinister, and downright badass.

On the other hand, Spy is a and a filthy coward who cries and craps his pants at the thought of actually fighting like a man.

Actually, Medic fits the description of maniacal, sinister and downright badass.

Scout: Brave, Lucky, best troll ever
Soldier: Cruel, Manly, more insane than a squirrel without its nuts
Pyro: Epic, Mysterious, most insane living thing since Soldier
Heavy: Massive, Powerful, probably the most adorable thing to have ever been conscious through a heart transplant
Demoman: Drunk, Angry, unconsciously hilarious
Engineer: Intelligent, Kind, pretty nice guy for someone who builds things that kill people mercilessly
Sniper: Hawtness, Hawtness, I won't lie I'm kind of a fangirl for Sniper.
Medic: Maniacal, Sinister, much less of a weakling than he looks
Spy: Wise, Guile, probably the coolest representation of a french guy I've ever seen.

What about the Xbox (The first one not the 360)

It's at the same level that PS2 and Awesomecube are at. They aren't made anymore, games for them are extremely hard to find, but they were modern for their time and are still relevant now.

Most of the reason why people are ditching older consoles (like those three) for the next ones up (PS3, Xbox 360) is because of Graphics. People were buying Wii for the super-analogue gameplay, because Nintendo is smarter than Sony and Microsoft. I've seen better graphics on games for Gamecube and PS2 versus games on PS3 and Xbox 360.
