The ability to predict events doesn't actually happen. For when one gets a Deja Vu feeling, it is the brain remembering a physical anomaly in your subconscious. The brain erases the memory because it doesn't make physical sense and leaves a 'whole' in your memory. Then the next thing you see directly after the memory erasing fills the 'whole' instantly. Then you remember it almost instantly. Giving you the sense it happened before. The whole process takes 1/25th of a second.
