LW: Easiest - Scout and Mangy Mutt Wouldn't say Scout is easy. Unless you have another reason other then "It's a flipper in an arena with no way to be thrown out!"

I was technically done 2 weeks ago. I say technically because I got the final exams coming up.
Oh well, hopefully this will be a good pack.

Somebody's triple post of DOOOOOOMMM (Noticed the 1st post was 2 months ago so it technically doesn't count, but then it's still a double)
Tourney probably is dead.

I'm not really sure on the realism, but it's damn good. All the LW's, and some MW's fail against this baby. Well... did you have to use carbon fiber extenders? You have virtually 19kg free.

Poor even taking realism in mind. Sawblades are crappy in Stock, and you could be much more efficient with the batteries in Sawplate. By trading those pinks for a Black, 2 blacks if you really don't want your bot to slow slightly near the end.
Torture.. nice design, bad execution. Blades aren't too good and it's way over powered. Needs a wedge on a Snapper too.
Also, build to the weight limits. And don't choose an armor type in Stock. Leave the armor tab alone, and you'll have armor as light as Aluminum, but twice it's strength, making it better then Steel in weight AND protection.

Does anybody remember that this was once Hydro's showcase? I know he hasn't posted any bots on here lately, but I think if everyone wants to comment weather or not they went straight on to SC3, they should do it somewhere else, maybe general discussion.
Not ranting, just saying... Well, guess you can say we're making Hydro's showcase as useless-post saturated as it should be.

If I see anyone use the word "pure" in front of a bot type again i will go freakin' nuts.
There is no such thing as PURE anything. You either have one type of bot, or its a hybrid of many types.
PURE HS does not mean a HW Hs with 36 weapons. Thats just a HS.
The word PURE means nothing in the sense of bot building, and saying that you built a PURE anything just makes you sound stupid.
kaybye. Despite not using pure, I'm not seeing the logic. Well, minus the fact that drivetrain =/= HS weapon system.

How about a tourney that doesn't use those BBEANS, RAW, CC, DFHSHSDHS things? I would like to see a name like that, how about Robo crush, or Mechanums? Heh. I was going to propose a DSL AI flipper tourney in a modified Combat Arena, the tourney name being Pinnacle. But there wouldn't be many possible variations in designs.. And the arena would have to be tweaked to be good for all types of bots if it was an open design contest. Well, all types except crawlers.

im ditching my spinners tournament idea (not much was planned on it and other things have come to mind) so if you are still after a new name you can have TNT (twist n turn) or another I came up was TNR (tumble n rumble) you can use either :-D or even modify what they stand for its really up to you TNT is better.

That's not by fighting against poor bots that you're gonna improve quickly...
Sage went directly to Stock from Starcore V3 (note that i won't recommend it). Look where his bot building is now. I went stock, SC3, own-custom AI, Soveirns' AI pack, stock, own-custom AI, SC3, stock, GE, SC2, now I'll probably go back to SC3, and those snapper-loaded HSs and VSs STILL baffle me.

Could you make some of the RA reincarnated bots into MW's and LW's? Yeah, that'd be good. Scooterpie is a natural option for lightweight, considering in RA1 it's meant to be a lightweight hit-and-run killing machine.

I was talking about the text, not the actual prizes. Oh yeah. Forgot how DSL has the "Robot Building for Dummies" box. And how it discredits you in the text and stuff. Eh, not bothered about that.

I agree with what he said about the consolation prizes.... Those things depress me. When you realize that all of the prizes are technically useless, you won't care about what you win. I enjoy seeing a nice Biggie burger rather then those big-ass trophies.

Is something wrong with Tsunami? The weapon didn't launch once in the whole match. The AI is probably looking for the chassis to be in the smart zone rather then weapons. Don't recall Tsunami getting properly under it's opponent (forgot who it actually was) Same happened with BFR. It only launched it's weapons about 60% of the time that I would.

He actually has a point, S32. He won't know the advanced stuff, but basic things like lack of weapons are in anyone's early grasp.

That was actually the first thing I could think of, and I only named it that because it had razor's that would rip out someones guts in real life. Atleast you make reference to the R4DS, a decent auto-booting homebrew cartridge for the DS.

Absolute Chaos - Aggravated rape. No MW popup multibot can take on a good HS. Hmm, so you don't think there's a chance BFR could get lucky? Those motors on AC are sort-of exposed and all.. if one gets lucky, maybe it'll make the end result 2-1. Expecting the loss, but not without a fight.
