So... I wanted to enter a tournament, and all my existing bots were kind of rubbish. I tried building a rambot for it, but I kind of forgot to add any kind of self-righter.
So, I made this.
(Image removed from quote.)
Armour is Titanium 3 Ant batteries are counted to be at 21.
If any tourney this is for is Thyrus'.
rambots are supposed to be invertible
Now.... Advices Advices for the bot: 1.those weapon racks on the side of the bot is not needed, but if you need something to stop an opponent from flying off the flipper, you can just go with skirt hinge-Beater Bar-Razor tips/Iron Spikes. 2.those beater bars on the flipper are useless. If you wanna make some damage with the flipper you can just use weapons as your flipper. 3. Make the bot wider(MUCH WIDER) so that it can fight SnSes and Sheck Spinners better. 4. Use NPC Fasts with Hypnos at least, or if you're good with chassis management you can try Technos.
and you only need 4 clicks to fit a beta.
I'm not entirely sure, but I think this is an IRL bot. In which case, you're kinda ill-advising him. Idk if this is IRL though. The side.. things, may be guiders as well as protection for the chassis. It's all too common for a hammer bot to side swipe you, so that does have some use. Could be a little lighter though, but I'll cut myself off there and leave it to people who are more experienced than me. I think you can get rid of a few of those ants, although I forgot how much power a beta needs. I'm gonna play it safe and not give much more advice, but I do have to know, what are you using as drive motors/wheels?

So me and my broski, Cody, are thinking of doing an accoustic cover of Through The Fire and the Flames.
He's already got the chords figured out, and I'm working on my vocal skills. Not sure how the guitaring is going but with me as lead singer and him as backup singer, we sound pretty good for two Band-guys who haven't done a day of Chorus.

A little too drum-happy for my tastes... Sometimes it fit but other times it seems like you slapped a drum beat over a recording of some random guitar riff.
Maybe I'm being too critical, it's the bandgeek roaring out from inside me.
For the sake of Death Metal, this actually isn't that bad, just not in my taste. All things noted, I only downloaded Fluttershy's Shed.rar or whatever the file was called.

So I scrapped the crawler idea a long time ago and I had some pretty bad builders block since then.
Crawler wasn't working anything like I imagined it would, so yeah. Meanwhile, I've been experimenting with wedges, seeing what works well and what doesn't work as well. Planning on building a gut ripper or pop-up or something in the future.
No images to show for at the moment, but I'm finally satisfied with The Power (The 4wd drumbot) Not only does it look good, but it's well armored, fast, damaging and pretty effective, although it hates SnSbots with long weapons attached to flails (Yep, I've been playing NARAI recently), it was really effective against the NARAI Grizzly Bear, the NARAI Velociripper or something like that, and the NARAI Deadblow. It can also drive inverted (I didn't say drive well inverted) and outweapons most other drum bots. 7 ants, 6 for each spinning motor and 1 for good measure. That's about it really. Half-sheet titanium slabs and DSL bars as outer armor, Tite 3 or 5 for armor armor.
Also, I'm going to completely redo The Damage. It's design was effective against the DSL ai, but gets fiercely outweaponed by NARAI and I just wasn't satisfied with the look of it anymore.

GF constantly derails threads and discussions intentionally, it seems. That's pretty much all he does now.
agreed
its like hes not even trying to be a good productive member other than the (very) occasional tourney entry, nowadays hes just referencing whatever the phuck he can (aka LEL +1 POST) and whoring for rep/au status
Can you believe Kossokei is yet another member brought in by the rest of the Junkyard dwellers?
i wouldnt count him out (hurr funi as hell robot combat ref xd) just yet..... maybe he just has builders block
I've got builder's block up the rear, but there is a couple of bots I'm trying to keep un-showcased on purpose, just in case I get the balls to throw them into an un-showcased bots only HW tourney. I think this is considered derailing, but eh. Nice reference btw Anyway, I don't see how defensively playing disrupts gameplay.. if I were a boxer (robot combat to boxer analogy, yay) I'd want to beat the living crap out of my opponent, because my fans would want to see me beat the living crap out of my opponent, and I'm sure it'd be boring for the opponent if it wasn't any sort of challenge. Or maybe I'm missing something and we aren't talking about combat robotics..

FIRST is the biggest joke in competitive robotics. Any competition that expects spectators to dance the chicken dance and to Cotton Eye Joe can't be taken seriously.
It's also my fault that they don't allow any defensive play anymore...
AHA! I knew I couldn't be the only one who thinks so. Bunch of hippy-dippy "nobody loses" nonsense is what's going to implode the world when Generation Y is running the show. What exactly is "defensive play"?
Disrupting the flow of the game, not playing in the "spirit" of the game, pinning other robots, pretending it's a battlebot, trying to damage other robots, ect...
It's also my fault that they don't allow any defensive play anymore...
Elaborate please...
See above.
I drove in the 2011 season. My teams robot didnt work right so i drove it like a pushybot and caused havoc and took 2nd place with it. Dean Kamen, the guy who founded FIRST told me he didn't like how I drove and the next year the rules completely outlawed everything I did.
Well, that sucks. If I could locate them, it'd be fun to send the original five House Robots in there to show them how it's done XD
Hell dude, the original house robot (Goliath) would be able to kick all of their asses.
Send in Mr Psycho, Sir Killalot, Hypnodisc, Razer, Dead Metal and Shunt. Those 6 are the most damaging of any robots, house or competitor, of all of Robot Wars History. They'll show everyone how it's done.

And Arcanine is a total badass. THANK YOU! But seriously, Arcanine has a look that says "I can tear you limb from limb, and enjoy it!", which shows how hardcore he is.
I don't think so, I think Arcanine looks like a fearsome being fit for kings or heroes, not like a vicious, bloodthirsty killer (more the looks of Tyranitar and Gyarados).
But still, it's a giant tiger/lion/wolf ON FIRE. How could it not look cool and badass at the same time ?
Fearsome monster fit for evil tyrants? Aggron. But anyway, Deoxys-S is more of my style. Cold, mysterious, not well understood, yet benevolent and loyal.

I've got band events from now until about February. Until school starts for me in a week or so, my practice is Mondays, Tuesdays, no Wednesdays I think, Thursdays and Saturdays (got something coming up on this friday though) from 2:00pm to 9:00pm. I'll try to get the most out of the night hours as I can being on here but that's about it.
When school starts, it'll be Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. 3pm-5pm for practice, 3pm-godknowshowlong on game nights. It'll really buck up the amount of hours I'd like to be on for, but now you know.

the spinning motor is such fail. I'm dissapointed.
its a dual perm but the bot only has mag drive so it can barely even drive toward the opponent, if it were faster it would definitely be able to shred
I knew that, but it barely even spun. Idk, maybe we'll see a little more action later on.

Anyways let me explain the 404 challenge: 404 is a seed where you spawn near a gravel beach and when you mine one block from the beach, the beach collapses and reveals an endless cave system. Anyway the challenge is to set the game to a high difficulty and try to survive down there for as long as possible.
That's odd, I thought the 404 challenge was spawning directly above a lava lake and trying to make it out alive.. Solar Apocalypse... is that where nights are really cold and you get cold damage and stuff? And the days get harder and harder and surface lava appears in the day and stuff..?
In other news, I've been building stuff in creative. Pics will come soon or something.
Well I don't think it does that in the nights, but in the days yeah. In the beginning, dirt starts drying up (no grass), water starts drying up, dirt starts dissappearing or turning into sand/gravel, and then everything catches on fire and burns around you.

Been helping a guy I know get a car ready for a demolition derby. I am actually going to ride in it tomorrow night in a derby at a local fair.
Here it is...
(Image removed from quote.)
dont die
bahahaha are you kidding?
He's in a Lumina, he's as good as ****ed.
We won, dipsh**. The results only ride roughly 25% on the car you start with. What matters most is what you do to it within the rules.
(Image removed from quote.)
This picture was taken after the derby...
(Image removed from quote.)
That's the guy who was driving.
Against 12 cars... We lasted longest. Still wanna talk sh**, Noodle?
Impressive, but what kind of weak sh** were you doing to have that much of a car left? I've seen and experienced derbies where cars leave the stadium 10 feet shorter than when they began. Anyway, the stick that's attached to the driver side door at an angle, I've seen it before but I can't remember, what is it for again?

Well that was anticlimactic. I thought Massimo's beast would rip Celestial Panda's bot to shreds, but the spinning motor is such fail. I'm dissapointed.

Me and Shizuno12 (Another GTM member and my IRL bff) were thinking of starting a greifing team (He was to be destroying s**t and I was to be doing Graffitti and making giant p***sis but he went online without me and got banned from the minecraft classic servers for it, and it's kinda impossible to have a team with one person right? Anyways has anyone here taken the 404 challenge?
It's totally possible to be a one man griefing team. The top dawg I was talking about earlier, the aVo guy usually does stuff by himself. You just gotta have the right tools for the job

I just bought 4 keys.
Kills while explosive jumping Domination kills Strange Market Gardener Strange Persian Persuader
FML.
This is why I only sell my keys.
Also GF stop whining about Spies. They're meant to be in TF2 and they will always be.
This, they're the least cheap class.
>Moves pretty well >Can Cloak (For a seemingly unlimited time if you have CnD or Dead Ringer) >Can do 3000+ points of damage (backstab) >Kills sentries quickly Wanna know what's funny? All of those are counters for specific classes. Making it one of the fairest classes in the game.

Why use the Atomiser? If you need the 3rd jump that bad, use the FaN.
Because you don't need to hold the Atomizer to use it's effect (I could be holding my Primary weapon and it'd work regardless) People, people. The Flying Guillotine is Secondary, not melee..
Therefore its a toss up between bonk, crit a cola, mad milk, pocket pistol and the regular pistol. :P
And imo, the new sapper balances out the pomson. Bloody pomson.
Well in that case, I need to find a Sandman and then test my love for my beloved lovely Atomizer..
But a Sandman + Guillotine loadout would be pretty beastly if you're fast enough.
175 damage with a perfect combo and bleed. Another Chop and a heavy is dead. 5 sec recharge.
That'll piss off a lot of Heavies.
