You mean wider as in the flail should be more spread out? Or wider as in the wheels should be more spread out? I am guessing you mean the flails since the wheels are already at the limit of the max sphere.

Discussion / Re: The Metal Hinge Wedge...« on: January 25, 2011, 12:56:21 PM »
I didn't start playing this game until August 18, 2009. By then metal hinge being better was already a well known fact.
I mean, nobody seemed to pay attention to component HP either until after I joined. People were still talking about protecting the motors and all that. You will think people will notice the difference between 400 HP and 12000 HP. Chassis were HUGE back then too, most of the time filled with empty space. I guess DSL gotten more competitive since then. When a community expected things to work a certain way, and nobody looks, then conventional wisdom takes over. Everybody will try to fit their observation into the existing paradigm. Only until the old fails hard or by accident do new ideas come up, the latter being much more common than the former. 1664
Discussion / Re: The Metal Hinge Wedge...« on: January 25, 2011, 12:50:38 PM »
Because wedge, even until now, has not exactly been the best known science in this game. Even now, nobody really know why the metal hinge works.
Sometimes wedge just works, sometimes it doesn't. There's almost no control over that. So like why is the small wedge so good? I still have no idea. I try to modify it's GMF to see if I can make a better wedge, but so far every tweak to it, be it make it longer or flatter, seem to just make it worst. 1665

You are right. Looks like Ounce forgot that he put 2 space in between density and molecule.
You can fix this by going into the binding and add a space to it. Or I will upload a new binding in a minute. High Density Molecule Crashes.Lol I was hoping it did be a little more difficult than that. That's too bad I guess. I am guessing you are using a flipper in an open arena? 1667
DSL TC Showcases / Re: A learner's showcase; A TRB bot collection« on: January 25, 2011, 11:36:23 AM »Controversial. Skirts can be as wedgy as a small wedge component, but steel ones have 7 1/3 times more HP that the wedge. :PThis has more truth than many would like to admit. One thing is for certain though, angle skirts are much better at flanking than small wedge. I am beginning to phase out small wedge in favor of angle skirts myself. 1668

ACDsee version 7 for cropping and simple modifications. It is chosen because it loads fast.
Though version 7 does not work beyond window XP. 1669

What exactly are you trapping with this design? Popups? Nope. VS, Nope, Flail SnS? Not wide enough.
Put 2 40 cm polycarb skirt on the 2 end for increase width. 1673

Lol let me clarify. I can't even name all the bots I send to NAR AI, or all the bots that I just build for 123AI, so nevermind the prototypes.

Probably the hardest part in drawing living things is getting the pose and expression right.Lol I always thought it was the inking and cleaning up work that's the hardest. 1676

Replace the full plate with a heavy plow, and you will have a slightly better version of FnF.
You have the extra weight anyway. 1677

Lol everyone should start a Space Arena showcase if you ask me.
And yes, all weapons are intended to feel as awesome as razor tips in Space Arena. I am glad you find a use for those axes. Since you already have quite a few bots there, maybe you can send in a team or 2 so Space Arena will have some AI bots in the next release? Also do let me know if you sense any components in Space Arena are underpower/useless. 1678

123AI will be released sometime this week, hopefully within the next 1 or 2 days. If you are looking for bots that aren't pushovers, you will find them there.
