What kinda stuff would you want access to, and what kinda stuff would you want to do? Mainyl the component database. Just a php script that gathers a GET rquest and throws an XML file with info about a component.

First option. A component DB is not that hard to make, seriously, it's just another SQL table and a script to parse txt files and dump the data to that table.

the algorithm for calculating chassis weight is not the issue. RA2 calculates it by adding up the sum of the surface area of each polygon.
Creating a php function or class to do so is proving to be frustrating. If the polygons have 3 vertex coordinates that define them, shouldn't this be quite simple? In a triangle ABC in 3d space:  P is the area of the triangle. Repeat for every mesh triangle. If they're quads, subdivide them. Eh?

I use Norton, never had any issues with it. Only problem is it lags your computer to a crawl while doing a system scan, so you have to set it to run when you're not going to use your computer. That's the problem. I cannot imagine how badly this thing must be written in order to completely block the computer from all usage when accessing files from the HDD and comparing them against a dictionary (Norton's heuristics suck). I still wonder why viruses / worms haven't switched to running kernel-mode, as a driver. It's harder to code, but ****, they'd be undetectable, they'd be able to hook into any system call to hide their existence from absolutely every program that runs in user-mode.

I use Pidign ( http://www.pidgin.im). Open-Source, free, and supports almost all the popular protocols, AIM, MSN, ICQ, YIM, dang, even IRC is there. It's awesome. I advise you give it a shot. And that Sweet IM thing looks like your textbook adware. Don't download this sort of crap.

For example, The Incredible Machine FTW! I recently beat all of the TIM3 levels which I couldn't do when I first played this game. I was so proud of myself. If you like this type of games, check out Crazy Machines. It's got fancy Ageia PhysX stuff and whatnot.
