but do not showcase the bots that use these parts and say sometihng like: Th1s b0t iz teh best!1one!1 Or maybe just say it's got custom parts, say what they are, and what they can do. Ofcourse, only use "semi-balanced" parts. [Thinking of showcasing a custom part bot]

How do I attach more than 2 spikes on the Round Extender?
Edit: Nevermind, I see what you mean now With that trick, it should be easier to reach the weight limit with that bot.

I'm shocked you don't know, R0B0 and JoeBlo. https://gametechmods.com/?do=Ra2_Arenas 3rd on the list. It's the RA2TT arena. The DSL tournament arena was a reskin (and redesign, since they added the spikes) of it, not the other way around.

You need to use all of the weight available. There's not enough battery power for those 4 Z-tek HPs (4 HPs = black battery, sometimes more (Nifty) if it's drive) The T extenders are worse then properly rotated round extenders. You can only fit one weapon on that 5kg T extender, while you can fit 2 on a 2kg round extender.

holy sh**. your better then me and i've had RA2 for 1 1/2 years now and only started experimenting with glitches in stock (done alot in dsl though lol) Hah, you think that's bad, I've been around nearly since the beginning and I'm STILL trying to figure out how to make one of those large weapon count HSs. Anyway, great bots.

I brought mine new and unopened for .. something like 3 pounds. (Maybe 5 dollars)
And yes, I've been playing RA1 lately. And back in the day too.

Following the laws of physics. Well.. you saw my point in that last post. Not many real HWs and SHWs have as much or more spikes then what we fit on our virtual, stock MWs and LWs. Stuff like that.

You can perfectly make realistic killers in Stock. Is that realistic without an insane amount of weapons or just realistic following the laws of physics?

(Very long post) As much as my old self would hurt me for thinking so, you're right. The game's become less about simulation and fun and now it's virtually become "who can fit the most iron spikes/razor tips/maces on a stacked or snapper boosted Z-tek HP." Not fun for the rookies who have to watch their new realistic designs get mauled at in the Stock showcase. (Though some of them are pretty crap anyway) While DSL is the realistic bot haven.. how did it become like that? It'd be easy to stack and everything just like on stock. The DSL AI is realistic, just like the stock AI. Why is it not cool to build realistic in stock, and unrealistic in DSL? [Failed attempt at making a good agreement post?]

Holy crap are you Ryan, the guy who tagged around with Technex? Damn straight. Only with 30% less suck. Maybe 31% now.

Mega bump...at least it was already stickied. Was rather pointless even then.

Suppose they were good for their time. We need some decent Realistic stock builders here.... It's all I seem to be able to do (maybe excluding decent), so hmm.

Yep, the best of everything and the most. Except weapons. I'm not sure, but I think I uncovered a glitch back in the day where I could have the 6 inner wheels, 6 outer wheels AND tank tracks. Now THAT'S a grippy bot.

I'm gonna enter the next BBEANS, with a better bot Cool. :) Should be easier to make a 'good' bot too, with DSL LWs following realistic rules.

While I am not in the know, those guys are probably gone. Check with someone who hasn't been inactive for 2 years.

Uhoh, there's no HL2.exe after a long time on TF2. Your theory only works for you.. :|
(Ofcourse, the double post was to alert you guys..)

12 WHEELS ?? Did you added inner wheels AND outer wheels ? Yep, the best of everything and the most. Except weapons.

Got the PS2 version, so it'd be hard to show. But it was a small wedge, had like 12 wheels, the large Cassius style flipper, and one of a lot of spikes. It very rarely lost.

[Edit] I think you might want to try SCv4 right now. :P I gotta move up to SC3. Only on SC2. SC2 doesn't even use DSA... there's bots that use saws.. and some of them are even pretty much forced to be uninvertible.

Good news, OK news, and technically bad news. The good news is that I finally found the connection point under the tribar, making it tilt inwards rather then outwards. Finally. That took 4 years. The technically bad news is that I might be able to have lower weaponed Tribars now, but I have no bloody clue what to do with them. The OK news is that I'm dumping 5 minute bot splashes into here. Let me see the hate!--- Yes, the splashes are a bit bigger then they could be. Deal with it. :|
