That's great, that means you probably just converted the file from using Unix/OS X line endings to legacy Macintosh format. You should still be able to change the weight class as long as you stay in Unix editing mode in Notepad++ (shown in the bottom toolbar) or whichever program you use.

DP for visibility, here are some repair attempts I came up with that you can try on your game. None of them work for me but I used a clean install of DSL 2.2 which might be missing some components: https://gametechmods.com/uploads/files/3405redace fix.zipOh and be sure to mention if you made any more changes to the file, because line 5 should definitely not be false when any bot is given an icon

I posted in this thread, might help you https://gametechmods.com/forums/index.php?topic=17051.0But I'm not sure why it still wouldn't work after you changed it back to 2, could be something to do with line endings - I assume you used Notepad++. At the very least you should be able to fix the team by just replacing the Bot2.bot file with a working one.

GameMaker is popular because it's easy to use and flexible enough for most hobby developers, that's pretty much what you want from a good engine. Am still updating this game. Haven't worked on it for a while.
Would appreciate people with some GameMaker knowledge to come forward and give me some tips.
(Will post download link when I'm on my computer)
A problem I'm running into at the moment is that I can't shoot and move at the same time. Can anyone help me with this?
Could be that the frame update only recognizes the last keyboard input received, ignoring all previous inputs for that frame. What happens if you hold fire and then tap move? If you still can't figure it out, sharing your code can't hurt. Though this sounds like something that can be Googled.

If we have people who can pay the fees and people to administrate, let them fill their respective roles. It looks like supporting the site can be done by one or more volunteers. In terms of running everything, that's a different discussion - ACAMS is only transferring the financial obligations. But we've definitely had lots of comments on appointing new administrators in the past, so if that's something to work on alongside deferring the hosting fee I think it's a good time. I'm hoping it can be a decision between ACAMS, Trov, and whomever pays the bills (after they've been chosen), supported by the community. Let's sort out the payments first.

Seems like way too many entries to vote for in a single round. I like the first and last ones

Your trees and grass are lovely. Do you use a Wacom? And what's the webcomic gonna be about?
the grass and trees are basically just photoshop brushes i found or made
yes but it's not the best (Image removed from quote.) saving up for a better one, probably a non-wacom cintique alternative (which is like 3x less $$)
the comic is a war anthology story with a very grounded tone, and takes place on another world with these characters: http://img10.deviantart.net/7a32/i/2016/307/0/8/arka_armor_by_reier-dan7pik.png
Still gotta place the clones in a good pattern. And hey, as long as it works. Hope to see more wildlife-type stuff from you. Go for what you need from a tablet, it's well-deserved and should be a much more comfortable experience. Having one with a screen seems like it'd be important for doing a comic. Keep it up

Cool. Maybe someone can do another one of these for the 15th, we've gotten a lot of new members and may see more if by some miracle RA3 is actually playable next year. The card is now closed. Thanks to everyone who signed! Signing ran from Feb. 18 to Mar. 22, 2013.

Gonna add some things as it took me the entire afternoon to fix one of my .bot files after I messed it up. Line 3 is the weightclass, with 0 for LW Line 5 indicates whether the bot has a preview image in the botlab. If true then line 6 must have the image file encoded, with the component count appended to the end Line 108 encodes the skin, and will be messy even with the default white texture. Takes up multiple lines for anything more complex, where (as far as I can tell) the final line must have false appended to the end. If you accidentally screw up and import a custom texture that isn't a multiple of 256x256 like me, this is where you need to repair the file I remember Click saying line 153 is the chassis shine in percentages ("1 1 1" is full values for RGB and "1 0" has something to do with lustre) Line 164 is the orientation, i.e. should be 3.14159 if you built your bot facing backwards Line 165 is the number of wiring slots being used

I really thought Thracker had it after that first round. He probably rigged it against himself to avoid community backlashâ„¢. And I haven't watched a single IF match up to this point but that one was fun
Congrats to the winners

Finally found the motivation to finish this after like 5 attempts since I found the site a few years ago (Image removed from quote.) guess they didn't ask enough raycisss questions

Pretty fun match considering Lightning beat playzooki's popup earlier. Hard to say who takes it since ty4er has only faced one other popup in Wen's entry and won 2-1. I'm rooting for Thrackerzod so we can all call rigging after

Also, you have earned whatever respect I didn't already have for you for using Miror B.'s fight theme Thrackerzod.
I thought it sounded familiar. Also Thrackerzod might want to fix the minimum turnspeed on his Stock entry, it just wobbles at the beginning of every match

Looks pretty good. You should bring the ramplates down, attach the razors using 2 extenders only, and widen the front. And make sure the DDT starting position is well below the chassis ceiling

Oh man, this is the best BOTM has been in a while. Guess I'm voting for 5, but 4 has best taste

Nice. Don't feel too confident against the winner of Thrackerzod v. playzooki though, if they can box rush properly.
And that's definitely Super Paper Mario, I'm guessing Brobot L-Type based on hearing Mr. L's motif
