Hey guys. College was very tedious today, what did I miss?
Well, we've got some purple-clad maniac running around smiting everyone and being crude, but here's the strange part...
I thought Naryar considered purple a homosexual colour.

Hey guys. College was very tedious today, anything good happen? Any showcases, discussions, recently returning users abusing the rep system?

You really think ACAMS is going to do this <expletive>.

Looks quite interesting. I imagine it'll be tough for it to beat more durable opponents with only six razors, but it's certainly a great design. With the SnapperII's oriented like that, though, is it stable enough, or do the motors/weapons flex too much?

I've blocked him already. Initially, I was looking forward to it, I was thinking "Oh, HX is back, he was supposed to be one of the old guard, IIRC", and then I saw the avaginatar. I'm surprised he hasn't been at least warned yet, and his avatar removed. If it were any other members, they would have possibly faced a ban, but guys like HX and inf ((when he was still around here) seemed to get away with breaking rules. Rules should be rules for everyone, not just for people who aren't veterans.

It's quite similar to Snap!Happy 6.3, without the plow/razor and with a bit more weaponry. I'm not too sure about razor spinners, they're quite brittle compared to their iron/mace counterparts. Good design, though, well built.

Laptop's screen has started flickering quite violently, so I've put that to one side. Will probably get a new laptop Thursday, but limited activity from me until then, I'm afraid.

Pokemon, same reasons as everyone else has given thus far. Spyro, same reasons RC gave. Ratchet & Clank, the first two or three games. I liked the technology that you got with them, along with all the various worlds you could travel to. Same kind of thing as Spyro, only more industrial.
I would like to live in video game worlds that were more vibrant, colourful and fun, rather than slathed in gritty browns and greys with mud and soil everywhere. I play video games to escape reality, rather than replicate it, so I'd want to live in video game worlds that followed the same principles.

Great appearance on that bot. Particularly the tail and side arms, it gives it an anthropomorhic appearance, almost. Like some sort of crustaceous creature.

Shouldn't 090901's birthday be on 09/09/01? That would kinda make him 11 years old though, so happy birthday!
god dammit why does everybody think it has to do with a date
What does it have to do with?
A keypad with 7 missing digits.

DP, MW poker Fuse: (Image removed from quote.)
It would look better if you had a poly skirt on the top, and perhaps on the underside as well. You could try attaching them from a side panel, or perhaps ME's/flipper segments if side panels aren't being co-operative.

Flamp? Cool. I thought the Small Wedge was part of the flipper, but seeing it on the skirt hinge draws my ire just a little bit. But it looks brilliant.

That thing is adorable and I want to keep a colony of them in a small lexan box in my garage.
I'd go for a slightly higher resolution skin, 512x512 might give it a cleaner look overall, rather than the lossy pixeled look it's got at the moment. Exposed Piglet isn't that appealing either, though I'm not sure how a Flipper Segment housing would look.

I like the weapon setup. The wedges should be stronder though.
NFX's Hairline Fracture had polycarb wedges and it did well on RIW 3....
They were Aluminium wedges, if I remember rightly. Plus they were covered by the pair of Titanium sheets. Your wedges are both weaker, and a lot more exposed. I'd try to upgrade them to something more durable, and probably get a lighter trapper on the back. Perhaps a Medium Plow.

Looking spectacular now. I can't really think of any ways to improve it, except to perhaps eke a second ramplate up alongside the other one. Though I'm not sure how you could do that if you've only got 14kg. Shortening the blades will only get you up to 22kg, if I'm right about them being 80cm.

1. I'd like to perhaps see some more tournaments like Steel Warzone, or Robot Wars Series 8. Ones that give each mod a new set of rules to play with, so we see new designs and components being used in different ways. 2. Either because I don't have enough knowledge of the subject being discussed, or my girlfriend is being particularly aggressive. 3. Predominantly Showcases and Off Topic. Plus Tournaments because, y'know. I'm a moderator. 4. For the most part, yes. I'll admit that I tend not to watch tournaments that I haven't entered, though. 5. Either lack of ideas or my aggressive girlfriend. 6. I have five AI packs. Stock, DSL, Starcore V4a, NAR AI 2.3 and 2.7. Used to have both BBEANS AI packs, but deleted them due to space constraints, and the lack of a challenge from earlier bots, such as Seasons 1 and 2. 7. Both. Depends on which ideas I happen to get, or what tournaments are running. 8. I like to think some good times and a friendly atmosphere, first and foremost, plus a good selection of challenging robots, and maybe pushing the building envelope a little bit. Not as much as other members, but I've played a part, I reckon.

Now that was an interesting fight. Good going to TRB, shame I had to take him out in such glorious fashion. =P Looking forward to some more great fights.

Looking pretty good. What I'd do is swap the Spike Strips for 100cm blades, and angle them outwards by one click, so they'd be hit before the extenders or chassis when fighting a HS. At the moment, the extenders look pretty vulnerable.

I find it amusing that people are attempting to inform others on how to use grammar on the internet correctly. It are not worth it.

Looks very nice. It's got an early Robot Wars vibe to it. I can just imagine the axe going "dink" against the opponent's armour and doing almost no damage at all. =D Components are very nicely laid out as well, nice and compact, very little in the way of empty space. Just showing that IRL doens't mean inefficient.
