After re-watching season 1 of the rebooted Battlebots, I can't help but wonder why Nightmare is still based on that design and not something invertible like Backlash. Is there some physics reason for it, or is this just a form over function thing?

I think biohazard retired in the mid 2000s after getting destroyed by megabyte
And Brutality, but was fixed up. Not really viable now with a bot like Sewer Snake and Original Sin running around
Are they able to get under Biohazard? I haven't paid much attention to any of the non-Battlebots scene.

tbf dexterhunter and frezal are vets and they're mostly known for just being old. MNB is already AU tho so idk about him becoming a vet
Maybe these days, but I used to be a moderator at B4B (Bots-4-Battle). I also did some graphics work here and there. I'm not sure how many of my skins were ever actually released, though. (CTC's Long Battery is the only one I remember.)
To be a veteran doesn't just rely on contributions, or how long you stick around. You just kind of become one. You have to be accepted and respected as one. This usually comes with time, but it doesn't have to.
why cant you be around to explain this every time somebody starts crying about wanting ranks 
I would probably be around more if I still played the game, but that would require installing Windows on either my iMac or MacBook Pro. Too much work, I tells yas.

I played a demo of it at Target and it was pretty fun. Don't think I'll buy a Wii U for it, though.
Buy it for Splatoon, Mario 3D World, Wind Waker HD, Mario Kart 8, Smash Bros., Dankey Kang Tropical Freeze, Pikmin 3, and Captain Toad. Then in-between rounds of Splatoon and such, buy Super Mario Maker on 9/11. RA2's multiplayer seemed pretty good when it launched.
