I can't even control the monster truck... It keeps turning left.

That's called torque. You can't just mash the throttle like in most games. You actually have to use some throttle control or the tires on whatever vehicle will spin and you'll go nowhere. It is designed to be a simulator, after all.

Reminds me of the old days skinning cars in that old Nascar game on PC lol.

Which one? I had NASCAR Racing 2, NR1999, NR4, NR2002 and NR2003.

They still make an updated Cup mod for NR2003 every year.

Ugh, The Rigs of Rods is just confusing. I dont know much controls and When I press esc, it throws me to windows.

It has the controls displayed on the screen... And yes, pressing escape will exit the game.

I live in Texas but I have college in Louisiana.  It was too far to take her home.

I see, but I still would have done everything in my power. That was a nice Blazer.

I am becoming more and more an F1 fan.  I gotta say, the drivers in that series are awesome.  I seriously hope they all stick around and not move to NASCAR.  As much as I love NASCAR as well, I hope both series' grow and flourish.   Open wheel really needs a strong following over here in the States.  Glad the Texas race went well!

Open wheel does have a big following in the US. Sprint cars and modifieds are considered open wheel. F1 does sound quite interesting though. It's a shame I can never manage to catch it on Speed Channel.
it's no longer on speed, it's on nbc

That's good to know. Thanks.

R.I.P. My 1988 Chevrolet K5 Blazer.  Died going eastbound on I-20 heading for college, blown engine.  It was very hard to let her go especially since that truck was my first car.  Traded the old girl in for a 2011 Ford Ranger.  Cried when I learned she was going to the junkyard, couldn't watch that tow truck haul her away.   :(

Aw, that sucks... Why didn't you just rebuild the engine?

So Ryu with its relentless sponsor will not face monster? ;)

I guess not. At least not in Battlebots 6.

Perhaps a challenge board match is in order...?

Downloading it... Just thinking am I able to mod it

It's very moddable. It's completely open source so that's basically what the game lives on.

Rigs of Rods is a great time waster. It's fun just crashing cars into each other and so forth.

No particular order...

Office Space
Super Troopers
Little Nicky
Blazing Saddles
Road House
Death Race
Baseketball (Would love to find this on DVD)
Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter (Has good mix of action, fictional stories with chunks of historical accuracy thrown in. Bears very few similarities to the book, though.)
Courageous (Has great action scenes for a Christian themed film.)
Days of Thunder (Not sure why.)

The Princess Bride gets honorable mention because I feel it deserves to be listed, but I can't decide on a movie to remove from the list.

Well if someone can show me an effective IRL design with two dual perms mounted inside the chassis, then I will agree with that part. I do know that the stabilizer setup seems flimsy, but I didn't have any better ideas for it.

Eh, whatever. Then I won't enter. Not going to do a complete rebuild.

May enter it into Battlebots 6 if it's deemed IRL enough. If not, I don't care enough about the IRL circlejerk to rebuild.

Also, I'd love to know what makes you think you're the final authority on IRL building, Badnik. Been meaning to say that for a while.

Any 'bot types that I haven't tried building yet? Anything anyone would like to see me try for this thing? :-)

How about a drum?

I may enter this if my most recent SHW is deemed IRL enough.

So basically you're automatically an IRL builder, because in efficiency there are a certain set of parts you have to use and if you don't then you're automatically at a disadvantage, like razors for weapons, NPCs for drive motors, Technos/hypnos for wheels.

As for the bots, those tribar extenders be fugly. Using a hexplate -> flippermakers setup will allow for a more decorative tribar, and you can adjust the dimensions more accordingly.

Also, the "use one ant for every spin motor" is universal even in IRL building, I suggest you use it.

Then how do you explain my building style? I use parts that aren't considered to be the most efficient. I may not always be in the finals of tournaments or anything but they're still decently competitive.

And I kind of have to agree with AS here. You guys shouldn't automatically assume every new member is going to want to build IRL style.
