People keep turning out to be younger than I think they are. First Badnik, now you.

Picnic Attack is the complete opposite.
Just curious, how old do you think I am?

@STC Well you definately didn't enter MCS, I know who did :P And considering NFX didn't have Panic in his voting... and he seems pretty 'down' on it... :P

@toAst Agreed. First album was amazing, 2nd - meh.
That's cause most of the second album was written by the guitarist (the guy who sings in "Behind the Sea" to be specific) but he already left the band a while ago with the bassist and started another band.

I'm done now, back on topic  :gawe:

Tournament Archives / RA2 Trials 2 Signups
« on: May 19, 2010, 09:28:20 AM »

Tournament Rules

1. Two bots start off in the King of the Hill match (1:00 minute match) in the Hill Top Arena. The goal here is to get more points than your opponent. If the tournament has 30 entries, the bot with the lowest points will be eliminated from the tournament.

2.  The second part will be on the SMALL ARENA. Same as before, damage the trialbot as much as you can, I'll make another trialbot though, if the bot miraculously beats both bots (which I doubt) or if one of the bots is immobilized, the decision will still depend on points. This event will be 2 minutes. After this, the points rom the KoTH part will be summed up with the points from this trial and the bot with the most points moves on.

3. Then the heat will end up with 2 bots, those 2 will fight it out in the fight to the finish arena (I found it here a while ago) and here's how it works; two bots start high above on the platform and they will fight it out for 3 minutes and the bot that gets destroyed, immobilized, or pushed out will be eliminated and the winner will go to the finals.

Rules:
1. NAR AI 2.2 Lightweights
2. Realistic Rule Applies.
3. No cheatbot2 or custom components.
4. No SnSs (won't do good in the KoTH part anyways).
5. No crawlers.
6. Please AI your own bots, if you can't then I will AI the bots (if anyone's willing to help me with AIing, that would be awsome).
7.NO WHINING ABOUT THE BOT AI BEING SCREWY UNLESS THERE IS BELIEVABLE EVIDENCE AND NOT SOMETHING STUPID (I think we all know why this rule was added).
8. Multibots are NOT allowed (due to the fact that if there's a tie).
9. No havok prone bots.
10. No AAM or BFE.
11. No flamethrowers.
12. The only bot types allowed are Horizontal Spinners, Rammers, Face Spinners, Axes, Drums (small discs in rows are acceptable), Pokers,  Lifters (NOT FLIPPERS) By lifters, something like Sentinel (stock version), True Popups (1 or 2 spikes only), Side Hammers (not side axes) .

Side hammers are allowed
True popup-like lifters can only have atleast 2 irons, razors etc.

Signups might start tomorrow so you guys can start asking as many questions as you have now and so you guys can give me ideas for a trial event.

So I'm guessing everyone's okay with the idea? If anyone has an idea for a trial I'll take it to consideration.

I felt like posting my fav bots at the time, that's just how I roll
wow that sounded cheesy

Abbatoir was a robot that competed in the Las Vegas 1999 event and (I think) in Season 1.0. In Las Vegas, Its opponenrt Ricon (2WD rectangle design with 2 saws in the front that go in and out of the chassis) rammed it, then Abbatoir just moved to the middle of the arena, and then started smoking and Ricon only had one side working but Ricon won cause it was still technically alive (unlike what was left of Abbatoir).

Btw, Abbatoir had a chassis that was a bit long in length, it had 4WD, and at the top there was a spinning wheel hub with beater bars (which never got to full speed).

(EDIT)

There is something wrong in NFX:s results... I'll fix it.

1. Bullet for my Valentine - 24 (0)
2. Good Charlotte - 23 (0)
3. Kicking Daisies - 19 (5)
4. Local H - 17 (12)
5. The Offspring - 16 (8)
6. The Tornadoes 16 (10)
7. Eighteen Visions - 15 (0)
8. Guru Josh Project - 14 (2)
9. Motion City Soundtracks - 14 (4)
10. Lostprophets 14 (6)
11. Zebrahead - 12 (0)
12. Distrance - 11 (1)
13. Faithless - 7 (7)
14. Mad as Rabbits 5 (0)
15. DJ Earworm - 4 (0)

17. Psychic Lover - 3 (3)
18. The Drums 2 (0)
19. Limb Bizkit - 1 (0)
20. Italo Brothers - 0 (0)
Why do I have the feeling that most people are calling the band Panic at the Disco "Mad as Rabbits"? Mad as Rabbits is the name of the song.

Fav RW Bots - Storm 2 (even with the producers against them, they took 2nd place and the world champion title), Firestorm (always coming back with a new bot), Diotoir (gotta love the comedy entry), Tough as Nails (honestly, I liked how it worked well in the arena, instead of being like most flippers and flipping bots OOTA, they used the arena to their advantage and got a couple of decent wins), Mortis (I just loved the look of it, shame it didn't go so far in the 3rd or 4th wars.

Least Fav RW Bots - Fat Boy Tin (When I first saw it, I thought "How long will it take for it to get turned over?"), Sir Chromalot 4th wars version (Same as Fat Boy Tin), Humphrey (I just didn't like it for some reason), Juggernot 2 (That thing didn't look as menacing as the other competitors, maybe for the 3rd wars.) Twn Trwn (It looked like garbage on top of an RC car).

Fav BattleBots Bots - Warhead (Looked very creative), Diesector (I liked the look of it), Deadblow (Simple and effective.), Voltronic (Simple and effective, and I remember it beating Razer back in 1999).

Least Fav BattleBots Bots - Abbatoir (that was one weak SHW), Biohazard (I got bored of watching it win constantly), Sunshine Lollibot (All it needs to do is turn and its already out.), Minion (It could've added a self-righter), what's left of Stewbot (Well, you saw what happened.)
