This really makes me wonder what Noodle's deal is.  Bi-polar? Undramatic life? Sugar Cereal overload?

He goes from cool to twat in 150 mph flat.
That's what makes him so interesting. You never know when he'll go from being a semi-helpful member to full on spam mode.

OK, I haven't seen her post in ages.

And am I the only one who writes out BBcode, not just use the buttons that do it for you?
I do whatever is easier for the given situation.

Listen to advice instead of putting random stuff in a bot.
Man, but putting random stuff in a bot is the fun way to play RA2.

Slightly better, but you don't need nearly that many batteries and air tanks, also MOAR RAZORS.

That poker reminds me of my first "good" bot, as in my first one that could beat EMERGENCY every time. It was called Leopard, and it was almost exactly like that, except with a slightly different chassis shape and axe heads instead of pointy tips. You have reached that moment when you realize that the key to success is to pack as many weapons into your bot as possible, now you just need to learn the ways to make it more possible.

I'll give you the first piece of advice Metal Virus and others gave me then, you can put the spikes on extenders and use less pistons to do the same amount of damage. Then you can shrink the chassis and save weight to add even more weapons.

So, this is in Chatterbox now? Oddly enough, that makes it even more useless.

I'm gonna post more goatse.

DSL TC Showcases / Re: Mazakari's potential tournament showcase

I second this, they're pretty cool.

1574
People     who don't care enough to finish tournament won't care about some   forum   prize either. If the purchasable prize was an arena or something   then   maybe it would help motivate people, but people can give those   out to   others.
It's still a better idea than sending people to the gulag.

I think tournament hosts who bail on their tournaments should also be banned from competing in tournaments, be banned from playground and have their showcase(s) locked.
Uhhh, that doesn't address the problem at all. That just pointlessly bans people from using most of the tools they could actually contribute with.
It's banning them from other parts of the forum that could be considered fun for them. They can still make mods and comment on other showcases etc.
That's still pretty cruel and pointless. What will happen then is nobody will host tournaments because the risk is too high.

Not everybody fails to complete a tournament because they just don't care, sometimes real life just gets in the way, or there are serious technical issues.

You guys know that if we loose the Playground, at least half of GTM's members will disappear, right?
Impossible.
How so?
Max. few members will leave, because Playground is so useless. We're here to post RA2 related stuff, not sh**.
You realize that 80% of the older members don't even play RA2 anymore, right?

I find it funny that people defending playground come in here and act childish saying we are all just butthurt... Hello that attitude is the main problem and you come here and display it in front of the rest of the forum, seems like an easy decision for Trov if you all want to act that way on the whole forum.
The whole point of playground is to keep it away from the rest of the forum, silly, and there's seriously no reason to complain when you can block yourself from seeing the playground at any time. Thus, if you get upset about the playground, it's your own fault; thus you are indeed butthurt.

1. Probably. The RA2 download link was broken, but that seems to be fixed now.
2. I actually use none of those, except the arcade occasionally.
3. The drama and stupidity are what make playground fun. Hell, that's like 80% of the reason I stick around this place. People who want to get rid of it are just butthurt. If they have legitimate issue with it, they already have the option of disabling their ability to view it.

DSL TC Showcases / Re: Sylandro's DSL Sp0rkcase
« on: March 01, 2013, 06:59:47 AM »
Maybe if you started with stock, then you would have some sort of clue to what to do in DSL. You aren't near the skill level yet where you can afford to be wasting your time fiddling in DSL.

He's actually a pretty decent IRL builder. IRL realism has become accepted now. I don't waste my time with it, but there are a few builders around that push out some pretty interesting stuff.
Honestly, IRL is the only "realism" left in DSL. Standard DSL should just allow stacking already and call it a day.

And, since the criteria for IRL is generally more along the lines of "make it look as much like a real robot as possible," Sylandro is indeed actually pretty good.

So #3 claims to be a popup-shredder, and #1 is a popup, let's see if #3 could really beat #1 in a fight.
