There is no gimmick. No bot types are banned as long as they show controlled movement.

Oh so this was Scrapheap challenge. Thinking about entering but DSL 2.1.... just upgrade it to 2.2 already :P
Also the smaller chassis with the slider trick is not allowed or does that not count as a bug?

counts as an in game glitch and has be a normal part of dsl building for over 7 years now so it's allowed.

Half plates no longer work because... something something collision meshes.

Half plates haven't changed at all from DSL 2.1. They are still the same where you can't use them with a minimum height chassis

-no bfe, ra2cf, rule of seven break, cheatbot2, and etc.
-ring arena
-16 entrants
-rumble format with a loser's bracket.
-i can reject any bot for any reason
-robots must show some sort of controlled movement.
-deadline will be one week after this becomes a signup thread, you may send a 2nd bot along with your first entry, but it will be put on a waiting list until signups close. if signups aren't filled by then, it will be added into the main tourney.
-my entry will be this thing

I disagree with @090901 however, having side armor can help when getting thrown around by spinners/slow turning(which your bot seems to have, guessing how the wheels are very close to eachother) back armor can be good if your bot gets flipped, so that's definitely not useless but might need a little downgrade to titanium.

No, extenders are terrible for armour as they have a poor HP per KG. There is a reason why armour plates, skirts, and etc exist. He's probably used more in weight for the extenders than he has for weapons.

It's because between DSL 2.1 and DSL 2.2 there was a new sawblade model used and it's collision name in the .gmf file is different and Clickbeetle didn't update the .txt file's passthru.

To fix it, Go into your DSL 2.2 folder, then the components folder and find "dslsawblade1.txt" and open it with notepad.
You should see a part that says "passthru = saw_collision". Change it to "passthru = sawblade_collision" and save the file.
Then go into the Styles folder within the Components folder and do the same thing for sawblade2.txt, sawblade3.txt, sawblade4.txt, and sawblade5.txt

axle extenders dont have a bmp because the color is set by a hex code in the gmf
